Revenge

It's been a couple weeks and Bruce has spent every night with Lyla at the hospital. She is all healed up and ready to go home.

"Bruce you don't have to help me pack my bag."

Lyla laughs and watches Bruce take over her bag.

"I know, but I am anyway."

He smiles at her and zips up the bag.

"Ready to go Lyla?"

"Yes."

"Are you going to miss it here?"

Lyla laughs.

"Definitely not."

Bruce carries Lyla's bag and they walk outside to see Alfred waiting for them in the car.

They pull up to the mansion.

"Welcome, back Lyla."

Alfred says smiling.

"Thank you, it's great to be back."

"You need to take it easy for awhile."

Bruce says to her looking, worried.

"I'll be okay, I can manage Bruce."

They get out and enter the mansion.

"You're back!"

Kendall hugs Lyla.

"Yes, it's so great to be back!"

"Why didn't you tell me, that she was getting released today, Alfred?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise."

He smiles.

"I'll be off into the kitchen if anyone needs me. I'll be making a special dinner, to welcome you back Lyla."

"Thank you, Alfred."

Lyla says letting go of Kendall and walking to Bruce.

"I can take that upstairs Bruce."

"No, I got it."

Lyla smiles and they walk upstairs to her room.

Bruce sets her bag on her bed.

"Thank you so much, Bruce, for helping me and staying every night with me in the hospital.

"You're welcome, anything for you."

"I just don't understand..."

She sits on the edge of the bed.

"What is that?"

He sits next to her.

"Why are you always, so nice and sweet to me?"

"That's what friends are for, right?"

"Yeah."

She says looking down and thinking deep into her thoughts of her and him together.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

She says not looking at him and gets up to unpack her bag.
