"Just let me try! Please!"I begged, pulling the phone out of Sara's hands. She sighed, but nodded, sitting back next to Dan and Zoe.
"I don't think he'll pick up, Y/N..."Dan said, giving me a sympathetic look.
"Yeah, you've been warned."Zoe agreed.
"B-But it's worth a shot... Right?"I asked, suddenly unsure of the situation.
"It's up to you."Sara told me.
"I-I..."I stammered, thinking of a answer. "I wanna at least know I tried."
They nodded, snuggling into the couch we were sat on. My mind wondered. What if he picks up? What do I say? Is this really worth it? I mean- Dante literally was left with me, along with Dan already being born... I don't know.
"Y/N?"Zoe asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Hm?"I replied shakily.
"You don't have to do it, ya'know..."Dan assured.
"But I want to."I replied.
I pressed the call button, listening to the ringing sound. It soon went silent, making my breath hitched in my throat.
"Sorry, this number isn't available right now. Leave a message after the beep."
