Chapter 46: Home

Liam wouldn’t let me walk, he insisted on carrying me all the way up to his flat. I looked around as he carried me through the lobby. It was high class; chandeliers and all that crap. They even had an elevator dude willing to press buttons for us. Some bellboy was following us with my suitcases. I felt like some rich person, being carried into my new home with a bellboy and an elevator man. Well, I guess I was rich now that Liam was my official guardian.

The elevator made a quiet hum as we made our way up to Liam’s floor. The way the flats worked was that each floor was its own flat, so to open the elevator’s doors to get to a certain apartment, you needed a key. There were only a couple flats in the whole building, fourteen, I think. Half of them were off of this elevator while the other half were off of another. The lobby was on the first floor, as well as a dining area. The second floor was recreation; a game center, a café and offices for the people who worked for the building. The third floor was where the indoor pool, Jacuzzi and gym were. The fourth floor was where the rooms start. The brief explanation Liam gave me in the elevator was enough for me to know that I was going to be happy here.

Liam slid a key card into a slot when the elevator dinged to a stop. The doors opened, revealing the biggest flat I’ve ever seen. I immediately jumped out of Liam’s arms and ran inside. I looked around’ it was breathtaking.

“Do you like it? The boys have the same layout and design. We just chose a few things to be unique to our flats, but yeah. We all pretty much have the same flat.” Liam asked behind me. I swallowed and nodded. I was at a loss for words. This flat was much nicer than any other place I’ve been before. I turned to see Liam lugging my suitcases down the hall. I followed him as he placed them into a beautiful room. I was speechless, this room was beautiful.

“So, I tried to design this room as best as I could for you, but if you don’t like it, I could have the interior decorator come back in.” I tried to speak, but no sound came out, so I just shook my head. He knit his eyebrows together, worried, so I forced out a choked sound.

“N-No. No, it- it is p-p-perfect!” I stuttered out. He smiled and nodded his head.

“Well, I’ll let you get settled in and look around. I have to go inspect the damage the boys did while we stayed last night.” With that he wandered down the hallway. I sat on my huge bed and took in my room. I had fucking chandeliers in my fucking room! I got up and walked around and looked at everything. I decided to be proactive and unpack, but I got tired halfway through. I decided to explore the rest of the flat. As I walked out of the room I noticed Liam going through some things while he sat at the couch.

“Hey, watcha doing?” I wandered over and plopped down next to him.

“The boys left some things for us. Some books for your studies, a list of the places to get a good cup of coffee or tea, a camera, for you, as a homecoming present and then they left me a list of people I need to call to reschedule some things for us lads.” He breathed out, shaking his head at the last part. He handed me the stuff the boys left for me. I flipped through the school books, fun. They looked really boring and long, with a lot of pages and tiny font. I pushed them onto the coffee table as I skimmed the list of cafes. The addresses were printed next to each name; helpful. I could tell it was Zayn who wrote it because the handwriting was legible.

I placed the list on top of the books and picked up my new camera. It was small and sleek. It had a touch screen on the back and was a new model. I turned it on and flipped through the menu. Someone had already taken pictures with it. Three pictures were on it. The first was a picture of the four lads who gave me the camera. They were all smiling and happy. It made me smile. The second was pretty much the same as the first, except for each boy made a crazy face and stuck up their middle fingers. I laughed. Liam looked at me strangely in the corner of his eye. I ignored him and flipped to the last picture; it was of Harry. He was smiling at the camera and was holding a sign. His eyes were bright, from laughing I assume. I zoomed in to read what he wrote.

You’re beautiful

My heart skipped a beat as I realized we had officially started to date. It didn’t hit me until now. My heart was fluttering and my stomach clenched. I couldn’t take the smile off of my face. He was MINE. Mine to hold, to love, to cuddle, to kiss. All mine. I sighed as I put the camera back into its case and headed to my room with my stuff. I already felt at home.
