Chapter 68: Traitor

Zayn paced back and forth, looking at me angrily every so often. Occasionally he would stop and turn to me, his mouth open like he was going to say something, but then he would turn away and pace some more. Finally, after about 45 minutes, I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Let it out Zayn.” I sighed. He turned to me abruptly.

“What the hell was that all about? I mean, seriously. I expected that from Harry, but I had higher expectations for you. You’re such a bright girl; I can’t believe that you would just… UGH!” He couldn’t collect his thoughts.

“I guess I’m not so bright after all,” I retorted. His eyes softened.

“That is not what I meant. I guess that you just had a lapse in judgment…” He sighed. I hated how the boys automatically blamed Harry, I was just the victim.

“Well, it seems to be a reoccurring thing with me, now doesn’t it? I mean, Tyler, right? Tyler, oh, and now Harry. Maybe I should just stop dating and become a crazy cat lady, or even better, a lesbian. I’m sure Harry would like that more though, being a dyke, so I should just stick with the cats, right?” I spat. He rolled his eyes.

“Don’t be melodramatic.”

“Oh, so I am the one being melodramatic, but Liam lunging across the table without having all the facts is completely understandable.” I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t start with me.” He warned. He was about to open his mouth to say something else, but snapped it shut when we heard Liam’s door open. Niall and Louis emerged.

“Where is he?” Louis asked without looking at either me or Zayn.

“Back at yours,” Zayn replied, still looking at me. Louis nodded and climbed onto the lift. Niall walked passed me and sat down. He looked around the room and then back at me and Zayn.

“So… Are there no snacks, or…?” He prompted. We just ignored him. Niall dealt with everything through food. He was very sensitive and easily unsettled, but also easily comforted with food. A soft padding coming toward me indicated that Liam was coming. I braced myself. Zayn and Niall looked over me at Liam; I had my back to him. They reacted to something he did and got on the lift. When the doors shut, Liam came over to me and stood over me. I looked away from him, we were both still angry.

“Susie, look at me.” He grabbed my chin and yanked it upwards, forcing me to look into his eyes, “Look at me!” He ordered again. I looked up at him angrily.

“What do you want?” I spat.

“You don’t get to be mad at me!” He said roughly, “you owe me an explanation. You better not leave ONE FUCKING THING OUT, do you understand?”

“I don’t owe you anything,” I replied, fury building up. He rolled his eyes.

“Yes you do,” he responded impatiently, “you’re my little sister and a man whore just took your virginity. You owe me a reason to not kill that little fucker. You owe me one because you kept me off of that douche ex-boyfriend of yours. Now you need to convince me not to kick Harry’s ass. So yes, you DO owe me an explanation,” he replied, with equal hostility.

“Fine, but can I ask you a question?” I responded, crossing my arms. He stood over me and nodded.

“How old were you when you lost your virginity?” His eyes widened.

“Nope. Next question.”

“Liam… I am trying to explain. If you don’t like how I do it, then you can go fuck yourself.” He rolled his eyes.
