Chapter 57: War

He pulled me back to his audi, but didn’t get in. I stood and waited as he got some plastic bags out of the trunk. They were pretty full and they looked heavy, so I offered to carry one or two. Harry turned to me in disbelief.

“Shut up.” He ordered simply. He walked by me quickly, and I followed him.

“Polite.” I responded sarcastically. He spun around and looked at me seriously.

“I may be rude and cheeky a lot, but I do, I know it is hard to believe, believe in chivalry. So no, you cannot help me carry these bags.” With that he spun on his heel and walked off. I stood there for a moment. Chivalry. Harry Styles has never been chivalrous. I mean yeah, he paid for lunch and occasionally opened doors, but chivalry also requires politeness and selflessness. These were not things that Harry was good at.

“Chivalry,” I muttered as I followed him, “hmm, I’m pretty sure that’s dead.” He spun around, making me crash right into him. I nearly fell over, but steadied myself. He would have helped, but his hands are full.

“Chivalry is not dead, babe. Do not mistake that. I am still chivalrous.” He spat, only disproving his theory.

“Politeness counts as chivalry,” I pointed out. He rolled his eyes and motioned for me to step in front of him. I complied and walked ahead of him. He would call directions to me whenever we needed to turn somewhere. Finally, we reached a mall and he called for me to stop. I spun around as he opened the door with his foot as his hands were full.

“My lady,” he said sarcastically as he gestured for me to enter. I rolled my eyes, but obliged and strutted through the door. He followed me in and walked past me briskly. I followed him over to a little bench against the mall. The mall was pretty big, bigger than the ones I’ve been to. It was a nice mall; marble flooring, all indoors, plenty of high end shops. Harry plopped down the plastic bags on the wooden bench and turned to me.

“Have you ever played the game ‘capture the flag’?” He asked, looking down at me through his curls. I nodded and looked around; what was he up to? He reached into one of the bags and pulled out one blue and one red handkerchief. He handed the red one to me.

“We’re going to play capture the flag, but just the two of us. I changed the rules a little bit.” He informed me.

“Where are we going to play?” I asked, looking around. He looked at me like I was missing something obvious. It took me a moment to catch on.

“Harry!” I hissed, “we can’t play in here!” he rolled his eyes at me.

“Why not? Lou and I do it ALL the time!” He whined.

“In a MALL?”

“Where else?”

“Harry, there are other people in here. We can’t do that!”

“You’re such a bore. We can actually do it in here. We might get kicked out, but we can still try.” He shrugged his shoulders.

“We need to draw as little attention as we can to ourselves. Running around to find pieces of fabric isn’t exactly on the down-low!” I was trying to pull reasons out, but he didn’t seem to care.

“That is why I brought…” He fished around in one of the plastic bags, “THESE!” He held up a red and blue bandana.

“Harry…” He cut me off.

“Stop trying to argue. I’ve already decided and what I say goes. Mm?” He nodded his head down at me. I rolled my eyes and watched as he tied the blue bandana around his neck so that it covered his nose, mouth and chin area. He handed the red one to me, indicating to do the same. I complied. He raised his eyebrows at me and laughed. He came to me and adjust the bandana.
