"Can you just...go follow someone else?" Olivia asked in a desperate voice. Courtney was in a happy-go-lucky mood.
"But I don't want to follow anyone else, if you want me to go, you'll have to lead me to my death," Courtney grinned at Olivia.Courtney had parked her car and spotted Olivia leaving the lot. She had followed Olivia to the doors of the school, to which Olivia was kindly asking her new friend to go.
Olivia was confused by her words a tad bit.
"I'd have to kill you to go?" Olivia asked for confirmation. Courtney chuckled a little bit.
"I'm not leaving your side honey, and you don't want me to either, don't you?" Courtney asked cockily.
"Murder doesn't seem so bad," Olivia joked. Courtney acted as if a sword were shoved through her heart, jokingly. She dramatically fell onto the ground and pretended death, to which Olivia was looking around, hoping no one was looking.
"Courtney, come on, get up," Olivia urged when a few heads were turned. Courtney chuckled as she slowly got back up.
"When your crush doesn't like you back," Courtney laughed more.
Olivia got a little confused as the two walked. Courtney watched her slow reaction to the word 'crush'. She grinned when Olivia's eyes widened a few seconds later.
Olivia didn't say anything about the matter, except let it go, hoping it was a joke."Are you just going to...follow me?" Olivia asked, awkwardly as Courtney was still trailing behind her as they passed some people in the hall.
Courtney once again grinned which Olivia was becoming all too familiar with seeing.
"No, I'm going to my locker," Courtney replied. It was then, when it dawned on Olivia that she's going to be right beside Courtney all year in such a crucial part of the school. Lockers.
"Oh," Olivia replied shakily.
When the two made it to their lockers, Courtney kept glancing over to Olivia, and smiling whenever Olivia was always looking back at her.
Courtney shut her locker and slowly, walked away from Olivia. It left an itching feeling in her gut, because Olivia knew that Courtney didn't have much friends here yet because she's new and Olivia just isn't trying to help her out.
"Courtney!" Olivia called, still unsure about her decision. Courtney turned around, confused heavily. "Do you want to...have lunch with me and my friends?" Olivia shrugged. It made Courtney happy, and excited.
"Yeah! Yes! That sounds awesome...I'll see you then, Olivia," Courtney called back. She started off her sentence sounding very excited, then tried to dim it down, playing it cool. Olivia laughed lightly at her behaviour. She watched her skip off to her next class.
Olivia's first thoughts about Courtney, is mixed emotions. It's not bad, it's just, confused, but good.
