Chapter 21

Shayne made it home later after breakfast. He had some things to conspire with Keith and Noah. He called them both.

"Did you get anything on Courtivia?" Noah asked into his phone. Keith was with him, having stayed the night.
"Wha-Courtivia?" Shayne repeated.
"Yeah, Noah made it up last night. Court-ivia. It's the girl's names together so we know you're talking about the two," Keith explained.
"Okay, whatever." Shayne cleared his throat. "So I know so far that they aren't dating yet."
"Yet?"
"What?"
"You said yet. They aren't dating yet."
"Oh, well they aren't dating. But I think Courtney is jealous of James."
The two other guys didn't respond.
"Well last night, Olivia got back from being with James, and Courtney was pissed off because of it."
"She was pissed off?"
"Yes. She looked pissed off and was like 'Kissed James goodnight?' And stuff like that," Shayne explained.
"So you think she likes her?"
"I'd believe it."
Both Noah and Keith looked at each other. Smiling.
"I ship it."
"I think they'd be cute together."
At that moment Shayne smiled too.
"I think I understand why everyone at school is talking about them," Noah said.
"But still! We can't let them know everyone's talking about them. It'll for sure ruin their friendship. Olivia isn't gay and she definitely likes James," Keith told them. Shayne's smile faded.
"We can talk with Courtney or something," Shayne suggested. He plopped onto his bed and sighed.
"That's probably a good idea."
"Yeah, if we want to do something, it's probably our only idea."
