Still Monday

"Anthony?" Ian asked from behind his boyfriend. Jolting away from his locker, Anthony gave the boy a crooked smile. "Some people are saying that Courtivia broke up."

"What?" Anthony's face dropped. "That-That can't be. What happened? Something happened, what did people see?"

Ian pursed his lips, worriedly. "Some people say that you had to have been there. They're being awkward apparently, as if Courtney didn't want to be there at all."

Anthony closed his eyes and sighed. "Ian... When does this become not our business?"
"Technically, it never was our business. It's still not and it's not the school's business either."
"Why did we get involved?"
"Because we ship it, and because they actually should be together. It's common sense man, they're so right for each other. Why aren't they dating already?"
"Baby, there's a number of reasons really. Plausible ones too. We can't just bud out now, that's a shitty move because we were assholes at the party thinking we could just do what we did. We have to help Shayne, Keith and Noah."

Olivia had been texting as she sat in the band room waiting. She seemed intent on her conversation too as she hadn't noticed Courtney walk in.
"What's up Liv? Texting Jamie-James?" Courtney scoffed, awkwardly choosing to sit away from Olivia at the table. She sat keenly on the floor beside the ukulele.
"Kind of, yeah," Olivia shrugged, turning off her device.
"How are you kind of texting him?" Courtney deadpanned.
"I mean I am, but only to ask him to see me on Saturday-"
"Oh, great." Courtney rolled her eyes, digging into her food. She didn't try to hide the boredom and the fact that she was annoyed.

Olivia clenched her jaw. "Is there a problem with that your majesty?"
"My majesty," Courtney repeated, already done with the conversation. "No problem at all Olivia."
"What's with you Courtney? You don't even know why I'm seeing him." So that I can tell him that we shouldn't go out anymore, Olivia thought sorely. She kept her face guarded.

"I prefer not to dream about what you'll be doing with that guy." Don't make me think about that Olivia, I'm hurting, Courtney thought. She didn't take her eyes off the food knowing that she would break down. Are we ignoring Saturday? Courtney let autopilot take over.

"Oh why would you care to dream?" Olivia asked. She was angry with the blonde's attitude and her disrespect for James. She was judging him solely because he was seeing Olivia.
"Because you should be out there with me instead. Whatever you have planned... Oh whatever," Courtney shook her head spitefully. Daring to glance, she saw Olivia's frustration growing.
"Talk to me Courtney, aren't I worth more than whatever?"
"Aren't I worth more than 'a lesbian who likes every girl that gives her a glance?' "

"You're worth more than that," Olivia whispered, angry that she was agreeing.
"It doesn't feel like it."
"You don't know what I have planned-"
"I just said that I don't care Liv."
"Talk to me Court."
"What's here to talk about princess?" Courtney smirked, taunting the girl.
"You tell me Saviour, are you going to hold me up against Saturday? Courtney maybe if you just-"
"Maybe if I just fucking said nothing. Maybe if I pretended that everything was okay because it's so obvious that it was."
"What was I supposed to do? I'm left in the dark so often, all of my friends conspiring behind my back. I was just supposed to follow through because my best friend told me to trust her."
"Do you not trust me?" Courtney challenged. "I kept my promise and told you the secret."
"Why did the boys know long before I did?"
"I didn't tell the boys. They figured it out for themselves and what was I supposed to say to them? Continue on my little lie?"
Olivia long abandoned her lunch tray. She faced Courtney and stared into the girl's eyes.
"You didn't have to do a lot of lying, Bae."
Courtney stood up. She felt like Olivia didn't understand the amount of suppression that she actually did. "You just don't get Bae."
"How much more is there to get, Rainbows?" Olivia stood as well to counter Courtney's challenging demeanour.
"Thiefy." Courtney crossed her arms.
"Saviour." Olivia glared.
"Bae." Courtney took a step forward, grinning darkly.
"Your majesty." Olivia stepped forward too. The blonde in front of her making her weak in the knees with the uncaring smirk and the clouded eyes. Her heart had sped up but Olivia's mind was too busy to notice.
"Sweetheart." Courtney kept eye contact, unknowingly making the other girl weak in the knees.

"K-kiss addict." Olivia struggled to come up with another name. That one made the other girl chuckle deeply.
"I'm not gonna deny it, since I can give the best kisses in the world."
"Cocky piece of... Crap," Olivia whispered. Courtney kept coming closer, and it was her moment that Olivia became aware of how well Courtney looked in today. How well she can wear the cocky smile and eyes full of... A hunger (which is funny because it's lunch). Olivia had to tell herself not to describe the girl as sexy right now.

And with that, Olivia had to accept something inside of her.

"Oof, if there's ever been a better time to curse, you dork."
"You asshole."
"Ouch."
"P-piece of shit."
"We both are."
"Mother-"
"Say it Liv."
"Fucker."
Olivia lurched forward, like a fire ignited she grabbed for the sides of Courtney's face and just kissed her. This one was different than the rest. Of them all, Courtney felt everything that Olivia was feeling. And vice versa, Olivia felt the sense of lust but also the yearning. She felt the hurt and the pain. She felt the passion that wasn't in a sense of the anger from their fight.
Courtney, almost surprised, grabbed Olivia's sides. Holding her tight, knowing full well that if this were a dream, Courtney would never fall asleep again.
"You sexy motherfucker," Olivia whispered into her ear when they pulled away. Suddenly, like a string of surprises, Olivia began to nip at Courtney's neck.

The girl froze to say the least. Surprised for a growing number of reasons. Both with herself and with Olivia.

"O-Olivia," Courtney said in a completely sober voice. Her body still, while Olivia slid her hands down Courtney's sides to rest on her hips, keeping her locked in place.

"James is absolutely my rival right now... But this isn't you... I-I can't- Don't mention this anywhere Olivia, I just need time to think."

Courtney was gone in seconds.
