Courtney was scrolling through her phone. Having finished her lunch.
Olivia strolled up to her, thinking about what the guy's question.
"Hey Court," Olivia greeted, sitting normally. Courtney looked up, confused.
"Hey, something going on? Where were you guys?"
"Just got caught up. I don't think the guys are coming though," Olivia shrugged. She bit the insides of her cheeks in anticipation.
"Oh why not?"
"Can I ask you something?" Olivia asked seriously. With the sudden change of atmosphere, Courtney sat up straighter. "Of course-"
"So Shayne told me that there's no project in Parker's class. Is something wrong?"
Courtney stayed emotionless for a few seconds before closing her eyes and sighing.
"Is this what you guys were talking about before?"
Olivia didn't respond. "Are you stressed about something?" She asked instead.
"Well this is stressing me out."
"Courtney," Olivia stretched.
"Olivia," Courtney said in the same tone. "I'm fine. I promise-"
"I'm here to talk. Okay?"
"Yes, thank you for that. But I don't need to, I'm fine. I'm stressed for a few different things and you don't need to concern yourself about it," Courtney explained. Olivia nodded.
"Okay. It just...It really does look like something's bothering you. If there is a problem, me and the squad, we're here for you-"
"That's great, really, thank you. Just let me be alone about it for a while okay?"
Olivia nodded again. She scooted a little bit over and enveloped Courtney with a hug. Which surprised Courtney.
Her heart sped up as Olivia laid her head in the curve of her neck and hummed. Courtney blinked, slowly bringing her own hands to hug her back. In a few split seconds, Olivia backed up.
"So what's up? Anything new?" She asked casually.
