The two girls had simply slept, watched a movie, or spoke to each other. After almost a millenia, five o'clock came around and Courtney had to leave. Olivia did seem more groggy by that time, but her mom had come home so Courtney didn't worry about it much.
Courtney walked downstairs, almost startling Olivia's mom.
"Are you Olivia's friend?" She asked.
"Well actually, I'm a thief, I stole all of your goods and now I'm hoping to get to the bank," Courtney said nonchalantly.
"Olivia was sick today, or were you both sneaking out?" She asked, with calmness and humour in her voice. Sort of matching Courtney's tone.
"If she was sick, technically she wasn't sneaking out," Courtney grinned. Olivia's mom shook her head and sat down in the living room. Courtney held her keys in her hand, and walked for the door."Your mom is cool with thieves running around your house," Courtney texted Olivia. She was stopped at a red light, taking her time.
"So you were there to steal?" Olivia replied.
"Sure I mean it's better then doing the alcohol and the drugs and whatever the shit at Strip clubs." Courtney texted. She chuckled at herself, before looking up. Someone had honked their horn because she hasn't moved yet.
"Two things. You said whatever the shit at strip clubs. And two, what do you mean by bringing that up?"
"Well I mean whatever the shit they do at strip clubs."
"Well I mean they strip. That's that."
"Alright then Bae. Which strip club are you working at?"
"Haha very funny."
"Seriously though, it was brought to my attention from sister dearest how great working at one would be."
"You're weird."
"Probably am. How're you feeling?"
"It just occurred to me that you're driving. Text me when you get home."
Courtney chuckled. She was picking up on Olivia's concerns for her texting and driving. Exactly why she had pulled over beforehand. Courtney liked that she cared so much about that. Shoving her phone onto the centre console, she started her way home again.
