A/N
I actually can't believe that this is over.  I'm happy to say that I will be writing a sequel, so look out for an update to this story soon with details for that. I love you guys so much !! Thank you
--------

I'm taking over my body,
Back in control, no more shotty,
I bet a lot of me was lost,
Ts uncrossed and Is undotted,
I fought it a lot
And it seems a lot like flesh is all I got,
Not anymore, flesh out the door,
Swat

I rocked back and forth along to the beat, strumming playfully. The words left my mouth carelessly and sounded so right.

I must've forgot, you can't trust me,
I'm open a moment and close when you show it,
Before you know it, I'm lost at sea,
And now that I write and think about it,
And the story unfolds,
You should take my life,
You should take my soul.

I looked over at Josh in his perfect state. His eyes were closed, like usual, and he was smiling as he listened. Seeing him so relaxed made me happy.

You are surrounding all my surroundings,
Sounding down the mountain range of my left-side brain,
You are surrounding all my surroundings,
Twisting the kaleidoscope behind both of my eyes.

I closed my eyes and let my heart sing.

And I'll be holding on to you
And I'll be holding on to you

I felt Josh place a hand on my knee.

Remember the moment
You know exactly where you're going,
'Cause the next moment,
Before you know it, time is slowing
And it's frozen still,
And the window sill looks really nice, right?
You think twice about your life,
It probably happens at night,
Right?

Memories of late nights staying up and crying pushed their way into my mind. I could feel tears but I pushed them away. As I sang the next line, they vanished.

Fight it,
Take the pain, ignite it,
Tie a noose around your mind
Loose enough to breathe fine and tie it
To a tree. Tell it, "You belong to me.
This ain't a noose, this is a leash.
And I have news for you: you must obey me."

I sang the chorus again and smiled at the words. I was the happiest I'd been in a while. I was playing a song I'd written for a guy that I loved.

Entertain my faith
Entertain my faith

I opened my eyes and looked back at Josh.

Lean with it, rock with it,
When we gonna stop with it,
Lyrics that mean nothing,
We were gifted with thought,
Is it time to move our feet
To an introspective beat,
It ain't the speakers that bump hearts,
It's our hearts that make the beat.

Josh had begun tapping along to the beat on my leg. I was trying not to giggle as his hand tickled my thigh.

And I'll be holding on to you.
And I'll be holding on to you.

I kept repeating the last line. I didn't want to stop. I wanted to tell Josh those words forever. I whispered the line one last time and then set my uke aside. Josh wrapped his arms around me tightly. I hugged him back and buried my face into the crook of his neck.
