THIS IS HORRIBLE AF. WORSE THAN THE BW SERIES. Well, BW wasn't even that bad, but HOLY MCSHIZZLES, I am usually not one to judge anime based on art, but HOW can our incredible, badass Ash Ketchum TURN INTO A CARTOON CHARACTER-FACE, WITH A CRINGEY OUTFIT AND SMILE?!

(Don't mind the Ash on the right since that's the Gen 01, but look at the left.) 

TELL ME THAT'S NOT CRINGEY COMPARED TO THIS AWESOME DUDE:

Legit. Like, all of us in the Pokecommunity are flipping out over this art style. BUT IT'S NOT JUST THE ART STYLE THAT'S DRIVING US INSANE.

It's the AMOURSHIPPING FAIL and the Trash-material PLOT.

After NINETEEN years of going region to region, Ash loses each league, EVEN IN THE XYZ when he had a really badass Greninja! 

And now the writers of Nintendo are like, 

"Oh hey, let's torture the fans more! Let's make Serena not go to the Alola region! And the Amourshipping is DOWN! Lovely. Oh, that's not enough. Yo, how 'bout the art style? LET'S BE INSPIRED BY CARTOON NETWORK OMG YAS! ASH LOOKS AMAY-ZING. Hm... you know what, I'm tired of him going to the league and losing, maybe his mommy Delia should get mad at him and make him go to school to finally be able to learn how to win the league! THAT'S SUCH AN AWESOME PLOT, ME. OH I'M AN AWESOME SCRIPT WRITER."

This is literally the first time I've ever felt like, "I'm not watching Pokemon anymore," because in the past from the beginning I've ALWAYS stuck with it. BUT SERIOUSLY THIS WHOLE AMOURSHIPPING AND CRUDDY ART STYLE AND LAME PLOT ALL GOING DOWN AT THE SAME TIME, IS TOO MUCH.

I can't even scream with this annoying sore throat of mine. GOD BLESS MY LUCKY PILLOW.
