"News?" I asked, eager to know what happened inside.
"Jeez, Cam, I've been outside for 3 minutes and you're already buzzing to know what happened."
"Well, of course! I need to know how many more people we have on our side."
"Half."
"Explain."
"Half of the Southerners agreed to join our cause. The other half just screamed that I was helping a charity case and that I didn't belong in their territory."
"First of all, we're alot of things, but not a charity case. Second of all, wouldn't they want to help a charity?"
"Not anymore. Not after the Fall. Before, maybe."
"The Fall? Have we finally decided on a name?"
"Well the Southerners were referring to it as that. So, we're just hopping on the bandwagon."
"Oh, okay."
"How was your little hang out session out here?"
"Oh, this?" I push on the ground and begin to swing, "It's great, you sure missed alot."
"Oh shut up, who got the Southerners to agree?"
"You know, I could've. But you see, Capri wants my head on a stick so..." I pushed on the ground again, "As you can imagine, we want to avoid that."
"Right. Forgot, protect the littl-"
"I swear to god, If you say princess I will sew your mouth shut, sew your fingers together, cut them off then sew them to your forehead and belly button."
"Right. That sounds really painful, so um. What was I saying?"
"That's what I thought."
"Leave! We don't need your charity case corupting our people any more than you already have!" An older female voice called out from the front door.
I looked up to see, none other than, Capri. She looked different, really different. Her stomach was bigger, her back slightly arched, a hand protectively over her stomach. Behind her stood a man, he had a brown jacket on, along with short hair and a few tattoos littering visible skin.
He whispered something to Capri and she laughed. Before closing the door and leaving us be.
We calmly walked back to the library, Darren a few feet ahead of us. Kai and I slacking slightly.
"Capri looked really different," I said, quiet enough so only Kai would hear.
"Yes. Yes she did. It appeared that she was with child."
"A stupid, yet smart idea for this time period."
"Someones gonna have to make more children, guess she's just one of the first. But why now? Do you think she didn't intend on it?"
"Most likely. It seems like something she would do. I'm just hoping that the child will have one father throughout their lifetime. Not 20."
"I agree. I wouldn't want that for a child. It seems the child will be of importance. That man appears to be the father, or at least a father figure. His name is Jace Cunningham, he's the leader of the Southerners."
"Cunningham? He wouldn't happen to have a sister, would he?"
"Not that I know of. It's a possibility though."
