We walked in silence out of the park, Kai had his hand resting on his other arm. The tension right now was unbelievable.

"Kai?"

"Hmm?"

"You okay?" He walked farther away from me than he did when we walked into the park, "Is the whole thing from earlier in the water bothering you?"

"No. Yes... Yes. How does it not bother you?"

"I. I know it should, but it doesn't."

"You're not bothered at all? What if Farris knew?"

"Well, Kai, that's the thing. He doesn't and won't. I don't think I-. I don't even know what I was thinking; what I am thinking."

"What is it?"

"I just. I don't know what I want. You'd think that these things would be easy now."

"They're still the same, just in a different situation. That's really all it is. You'll know eventually as to what you want."

"Yeah."

We arrived at the library within ten minutes. We sat outside on a cement bench in the courtyard. We saw the younger of us running around the grass, looking happy.

"I'm tired," I blurt out, out of no where.

"Go sleep," Kai smiled over at me, "I'll go find Darren."

"Okay," I stood up, hugged him and headed to the house I was designated to stay at.

I walked inside, expecting no one to be inside. Farris has made zero attempt to talk to me, or see me when I wasn't with the others or recruiting.

I walked up the stairs, normally at first before I heard a female sound. I walked up the stairs slower as I got closer to the second floor. The sounds were louder now, muffled only by a door.

I pushed open the door all the way and saw what I thought I would find. Farris in bed with another woman.

"Oh," I stared for a second in shock before stepping forward and clearing my throat.

"C-Cam! Thi-"

"Don't say it's not what it looks like. What else could it be? Are you closely inspecting her for injuries?"

"Oh come on, Cameira, you haven't been here for me! I needed it and you weren't here!"

"It's been 5 days. I haven't been in this house, or near you, for 5 days," I shouted at him, "Five days and you already needed more?"

"I-I should go..." The girl spoke up before wrapping the sheet around herself before running out of the room.

"I'm sorry, Cameira," Farris said under his breath, unable to meet my eye.

"There's nothing to be sorry for, Farris. It was over from the start, and you know that," I stated, looking at the mess of a bed.

He suddenly stood up, "No, Cami. Don't say that, we... We can fix this! I can be bet-"

"Stop. You can't change who you are. You're a human in a flawed world. I didn't know you, you didn't know me. We jumped into this on a whim," I frowned and put a hand on his shoulder, "How many relationships actually last when they start before knowing one another?"

He stood, just staring at me in silence. He shook his head and looked to the ground.

"I'll see you around, Farris," I smiled and started walking out.

"No," he grabbed my arm, turned me around and slammed his lips onto mine.

I pushed him off, only for him to grab me again, "Farris! Stop!"

He began kissing me and I refused to kiss back. I didn't want him this way, not anymore.

He tried taking off my shirt, but I pushed him off before the cloth could pass over my head. Before he could try again, I threw a punch right across his face.

I watched the green eyed man drop to the floor, a bruise already forming on his face as blood dripped from his nose.

I started walking away again, before I heard his voice speak a few words, "I'm sorry, Cameira. I-I love you."

I continued walking out, until I got to the front porch. I closed the door, took a few steps forward, turned quickly amd threw a punch towards a nearby wall.

I screamed a curse word and sunk to the ground.

"I coundn't be any stupider," I whispered below my breath.

I let him in, let him see parts of me only few knew. I opened up to him, trusted him. I cared for him the way I cared about people I'd known for years.

I let out yet another scream of a curse word. I curled up in a ball, my knees pulled up to my face, face in my knees, arms wrapped around my legs.

"I opened up, when I barely knew him," my brain repeated this, chanted it. I was a complete and total mess.

I need to leave.
