A/N: I won't say anything much up here this time around, 'cause I know you all are (un)dying to read about the battle.
The first song is Spear of Justice for the battle, then Run! for when she Flees, then nothing from the point when someone collapses.
------------------<>------------------
Seeing the Human take their time to ready themselves and walk forward, Undyne couldn't help but feel a bit anxious. Finally! The last soul was just within her reach! "That's it, then...! No more running away!" She said, and jumped down towards her, spear pointing towards Mari, ready to pull out her soul.
"HERE I COME!!!!!!!!"
Once Undyne made it, Mari's soul was pulled out and trapped inside a small box. Undyne stood there, determined to show Mari what she had in store for her and swung her spear towards her soul, turning it green. "En guarde!" She stated, and waited for Mari to make her move. She wouldn't see what was coming!
*Undyne attacks!
Mari thought back to what Preston had told her-"But you can't Spare her. She won't accept MERCY. And Pleading or Challenging her won't work either. What you have to do is just Flee. The minute she turns you red again, just run. And keep running. You won't survive otherwise." Mari's SOUL was green at the moment. And it felt as if when she was, she couldn't Flee. So she would have to wait until Undyne turned her red again. But when would that be? For now, she decided to just Check Undyne.
*UNDYNE 7 ATK 0 DEF
*The heroine that NEVER gives up."As long as your GREEN you CAN'T ESCAPE!" She said, grinning widely, her yellow teeth very visible. "Unless you learn to face danger head on... you won't last a SECOND against ME!" She stated, and sent down three pretty slow arrows towards Mari's soul. A blue shield formed in front of Mari's soul, which could be used for blocking. Let's just see if this human could shield themselves. It was a test run, however. Soon, she wouldn't be holding back!
Mari listened as her suspicions were confirmed, and then arrows were shot at her SOUL. She seemed to have a shield of some sort, which she used to block them. There were three, and they all came from in front of her. She blocked each one.
*Undyne towers threateningly.
Even though Preston had told her that it wouldn't work, Mari decided she would Plead anyhow. She told Undyne she didn't want to fight. But nothing happened.
Undyne narrowed her eyes as she watched her block each of her spears. Good! She understood how to go through with this battle! Now, she just needed to go harder. However, just as she was ready to deliver her next attack, Mari pleaded with her, telling her she didn't want to fight. Such a plead went right over her head. She wasn't going to fall for such a measly trick. Not when the Monster race was so close to freedom! "Not bad!" She started, "Then how about THIS?!" She stated, and sent off two arrows from in front of Mari, two from the left, and then two from the right. These went at a slightly faster pace, but was still moderately slow.
Once again arrows were shot at her green SOUL, this time two from the front, then the left, and then the right. Mari blocked them with the shield-thingy.
*Undyne flashes a menacing smile.
Mari Pleaded again, repeating that she didn't want to fight. But nothing happened.
She refused to let the human plead her way out of this. That was the last thing she would let happen! Undyne was much stronger than that.
"For years, we dreamed of a happy ending..."
