A/N: Yo yo! It's time for our next Date! Well, it's not really a "Date" per say, but the music is "Dating Start" so. Ah, but the date doesn't really get underway until next update. Otherwise this chapter would be even longer!

The title is the song Piano Man. I just thought it was appropriate, since Undyne is in fact a piano player. Well, maybe not a professional one or anything, but . . .

The songs for this chapter are Alphys for inside the Lab, Ooo for Hotland, She's Playing Piano for outside the house, and then stop all music when Undyne stops playing.

Hope you enjoy!

Sans listened to his fellow scientist speak. She seemed to stutter way more than he remembered, but that might be because they talked to each other everyday. Now that they haven't for years, well, it was inevitable that a conversation would be pretty awkward. Sans seemed to tell that she was hiding something from him from the get-go. Her pause was obvious, and even though she was obviously lying, he wouldn't put her on the spot like that. He had his own reasons to lie as well. Well, reasons he couldn't speak of either. Hearing that she had made friends with a ghost and Undyne, his grin seemed to soften. However, it twitched when she mentioned how Mettaton didn't come to see her as often. He could only guess it was showbiz. And apparently he did her a favor? Sans rose a bone ridge where his eyebrow would be if he had skin. " * well, that's cool. what ghost? the only ghost i know is napstablook, near undyne's place. and yeah, i'm pretty close to her too, well, through my bro, though. she could be pretty 'carp'licated though." He stated when she finished mentioning Undyne. " * and... well... maybe the showbiz life for him isn't exactly going a'cord'ing to plan. i'm sure he'll come around, though, with a 'wall' of ideas." He couldn't help but point at the wall Mettaton had smashed through. " * besides, being famous is pretty good 'biz'-ness, ya know." He punned a lot to lighten the mood. If he remembered correctly, Alphys liked his puns. Maybe these could crack a laugh. If Papyrus was here though, well, he wouldn't be here for long, cause he would have left by the first pun. He was curious about the favor she was talking about, but he'll wait it out, when they talked more, of course. Sans was a pretty good listener.

Mari finally spotted Toriel standing next to an easy to draw box. She watched as her Goat Mom rushed towards her and gathered her into a furry and warm embrace. She quickly returned it, sans fur, and snuggled her face into Toriel's soft white fur. After a while, she pulled back. "You too. I-I mean, I'm glad you're a-alright. And I'm happy to s-see you again! I missed y-you!" she said softly, babbling just a bit before turning quiet. She didn't want to worry Toriel, but she would probably have to explain all the noises downstairs, as well as warn her about the robot. Ah, Mettaton. Mari didn't really like him. He was too . . . self-absorbed. At least, that was how he appeared. She wasn't sure how he was inside, but at the moment all he was showing was a flair for the dramatic and apathy towards how his actions affected others. The first didn't really bother Mari, he was a showbiz robot after all, it was the second that made her dislike the metallic Monster. She wondered if that was the same reason that Sans seemed to feel the way he did. But apparently his brother felt differently. She had recognized Mettaton as the 'action figure' Papyrus had given her to cheer her up, only life size. She wondered what he saw in the mechanical star. Maybe it was because he was the only star the Underground had? At least, that was what he seemed to be. How was Mari to know? But what other reason could there be?

Really, why else would a movie that simply consisted of his rectangular body being showered with rose petals be popular??

Toriel smiled in glee when Mari said that she had missed her. It warmed her monster heart! She was so precious~ However, her mind suddenly drifted to the commotion downstairs. Something robotic sounding, a lot of smashing, yelling, and music, from somewhere she didn't know. Something about a quiz show? She looked to Mari quizzically, hoping for an explanation. Toriel had stayed out of it, cause she didn't want to ruin it if it was a game. They had all the time in the world to chat, after all. "Well, what happened downstairs, my child? It sounded like quite a lot happened." She said, hoping everything was alright. Hopefully nothing dangerous, despite how she has seen Mari take care of herself.
