A/N: Yo. Sorry this is a day late, but at least I didn't miss weeks, right? Still really sorry about that. I'm kind of full of anxiousness right now. Tomorrow morning I get my wisdom teeth extracted. I'm not nervous about that, really. But I'm nervous about getting Nitrous Oxide Gas and the IV Sedation, I've never had either. Ugh. Buuut it's gotta be done. Rather not be awake for it.

Anyways, here's the next chapter! Hope you guys will like it!

The picture is 'cause I thought you guys could use a bit of humor surrounding Flowey, instead of just the fear that Mari feels for him. "U.F AU" Flowey is the Underfell Flowey, who is basically the opposite of "U.T" Flowey, the original Undertale Flowey. And "U.S AU" Flowey is Underswap Flowey, who is basically Temmie as Flowey. Look up the AUs sometime if you don't know them. They're all pretty great.

Well I'll let you get on with the chapter now.

The songs for this chapter are Another Medium ( Though you could try to find Uwa!! So HEATS!! if you wanna shake it up a bit ) for most of this, and then Enemy Approaching for the very end of the chapter.

Mari had just managed to calm down her rapid heart when Toriel came over to check on her. She tried to give her a reassuring smile, but she was sure it trembled. It—It couldn't have been him, could it? It had to be . . . She was sure of it now. It was Flowey. Somehow, Flowey was following her. Keeping an eye on her. She had felt that prickle on her neck back when she left Snowdin, but she hadn't known what it was then. Now, however, she was sure that the little yellow flower was following her. A sudden memory hit her harshly in her SOUL.

"Clever. Verrrryyy clever." He said, his small face smiling cruely, "You think you're really smart, don't you?" His cruel smile was replaced by the "innocent" one he'd fooled them with earlier. "In this world, it's kill or be killed. So you were able to play by your own rules." He said, eyes shifting away and then back, his face becoming a demonic smile, "You spared the life of a single person. Hee hee hee . . . I bet you feel really great. You didn't kill anybody this time. But what will you do if you meet a relentless killer? You'll die and you'll die and you'll die. Until you tire of trying. What will you do then?" His face widened to accommodate his wide, fanged smile, as he said, "Will you kill out of frustration? Or will you give up entirely on this world . . ." His fanged smile changed back into the curled demonic one, then back into the fanged smile again, ". . . and let ME inherit the power to control it? I am the prince of this world's future. Don't worry, my little monarch, my plan isn't regicide. This is SO much more interesting." His whole face grew bigger, his petals kept out of the way, and he laughed and laughed and laughed.

Mari swallowed back her heart, which had found its way into her throat, as she snapped out of the memory. She didn't know whose memory it was, but it wasn't a nice one. Somehow, she had avoided having the conversation herself. But she needed to push all this away, so she could continue on to the Barrier and free everyone. She noticed Sans near her, and figured that while she'd been lost in the memory, he had approached her for the same reason Toriel did. Her smile was a bit stronger this time as she looked at them. "Yeah, I-I'm fine. We should, um, continue o-on . . ." She said, turning away from them and taking a deep breath. She needed to calm down. Once she was calm enough, she started walking away from the cooking show. Not far from the "SOUL-substitute", the bright floor gave way to normal Hotland ground. As she walked, she could see a large mechanical construct floating on magma somewhere. She also saw a Save point. It would probably be best for her to use it. She walked over to the sparkling yellow point and touched it. An ominous structure loomed in the distance . . . She was filled with DETERMINATION. The little screen that popped up for her every time she saved told her where she was—"Core View". She gulped. Not far now. Not far at all.
