A/N: Song for this chapter is still Waterfall. It's pretty much the song for most of the area. I mean, that is why the song's called Waterfall.

Toriel had rushed over to Sans in an urgent manner. She was a little confused as to why he was messing around with a telescope, but her fear and urgent situation caused her to forget that and get him to come along. He followed after her calmly, until he saw that Mari really had passed out. She was out for several or more long minutes before she woke up.
The moment Mari would wake up and open her eyes, she would be where she was placed by Toriel, and hovering next to her sides would be Toriel and Sans, Toriel looking terrified while Sans looked a bit worried, his wide grin making it hard to tell, and hoping he didn't think what had happened. When she would awake, though, they both gave noises of relief, glad to see that she was alright. Sans was the first to speak, keeping his hands to himself since he was a bit on edge, remembering the last time he tried to reach out for her. " * hey kid. you doing alright? tori told me you passed out." He said, and did hope she was alright. Sans, from memory, hadn't worried this much about a human before. However, this time around, it seemed this human was much more pure, much more scared of everything, and seemingly scarred by whatever happened to them before on the surface. The last human was a different matter. They were a little less scared, and took things in a bit of a mature manner. However, things seemed to change after they had suddenly left without a trace. They hadn't even killed the king, so how they left was a mystery. He would blame it on their abilities, but it was still hard to believe what had happened.
Toriel was just glad Mari was up and hopefully alright.
Mari took a moment or two to actually wake up. Or, maybe waking up wasn't the right term. She hadn't been sleeping, exactly. Only unconscious. And she didn't know if she could call her time in that place--the Void--a dream. She didn't know if she had actually gone there or if it had all just been her imagination--a fantasy to keep herself safe. An oddly comforting emptiness, a gentle skeletal man who seemed to care for her . . . It just seemed too good to not be a defense mechanism. But maybe . . . maybe it was real. Maybe she did have an ever-smiling skeletal man who spoke with palmless hands watching over her. Was she really that lucky? Well, looking up into the faces of two Monsters who were worried for her, she thought maybe she was. She sat up slowly, rubbing the back of her head. She must have hit the ground kinda hard. She wouldn't be surprised if her HP was close to zero right now. She looked up at Sans as he asked if she was alright. "Y-Yeah . . . I guess I was j-just a little tired from r-running and my . . . HP was a-a little low . . ." she said, hesitating a moment. She wasn't sure where she got the idea of 'HP' from, but it was one of things she somehow just knew. Like SAVE points. Wait . . . where did that thought come from? When she had seen those shining points and felt like she could go back there, she hadn't known the name of those points. Now she did. And their name was a little strange. Like she was part of a video game . . .
Mari shook off that thought and got herself to her feet. She wasn't as tired as she was earlier, the sleep she had gotten had obviously done her some good. Even if the first part of it had been a nightmare. Or . . . maybe it was the work of her guardian skeletal angel? Whatever happened, she felt much better. "Sorry for w-worrying you guys . . ." she said softly, feeling a little guilty. She twiddled her fingers nervously before realizing she wasn't holding Neelix. She looked around in distress, wondering where her beloved stuffed cat was.
Sans listened to her and rose a figurative eyebrow when she mentioned how her HP was low. Her HP was running low? How . . . ? He glanced over at Toriel, who glanced at him as well before they both went back to looking at Mari. They hadn't explained, or mentioned HP before. Maybe she was learning quickly? Possibly. If her HP was a little low, then that would be a bit disastrous. Sans sighed and softly stood up, and watched her stand up as well. Toriel eventually followed suit. When Mari apologized, Toriel spoke up first. "Oh, it is quite alright my child. It was simply startling, with you passing out and all..." She said, her voice still tinged in worry, and Sans rested his hands in his pockets. He shrugged softly. " * no need to apologize, kiddo." He reassured, but when Mari looked distressed, looking around urgently, he realized that she was missing her stuffed cat. Sans pulled her Neelix out of his pocket, where he had picked it up from where Toriel had saw her pass out before, and handed it over. " * oh, looking for this?" He said, his lazy eyes scanning the child before him. He was making sure she really was a-okay, especially if her HP was low.
