Akira glared at him, covering her fear. "I needed air, and now that I've had it I'm returning to the house." She was surprised with how calmly she'd said it. But her heart dropped when he shook his head.
"I've come to get you love. I believe its time that you come with me." The calm way he stood and said that had the hair on the back of Akira's neck standing on ends. When he took a step forward, she took a step back.
"No, I don't think so." She began to move around him, but he blocked her path each time. She couldn't help but think that if she screamed someone, anyone would hear her.
"Ah, ah, ah." Darrel shook his finger at her like she was a naughty child, and Akira felt herself vibrate with anger. "Don't even think about drawing attention to us."
Akira bit her lip, frightened. She stood there trying to work out in her head what to do, but everything seemed to happen so fast yet in slow motion. One second, Darrel stood there smirking at her as if he'd won and the next Darrel was on the ground with her father in wolf form on him. Unfortunately Darrel was able to shift so now, Akira seen two big Alpha wolves rolling around, snapping and growling at each other. She could easily tell which one was which. She watched her father snap viciously at Darrel, but she couldn't move. She seemed to be paralyzed in her spot.
The dark brown wolf who was Darrel had now grabbed hold of her fathers neck, and was tugging and pulling like he was playing tug-of-war. Akira finally found her voice and screamed. "PAPA!" She watched, feeling as helpless as she really was. She couldn't shift and all she could do was watch. They both snapped and ripped at each other. Thankfully Akira could hear other members of her pack running towards them. She took her eyes off the rolling wolves for but a moment, but when she turned back she had to dive out of the way of the two massive wolves that came her way. It seemed to go on forever though she knew it was mere seconds, to minutes. The guards had shifted and ran after the retreating Darrel. But Akira's eyes were on the wolf that laid unmoving. Her father.
Akira stood there for a moment. "Papa?" She whispered, moving step by step closer. She ran the rest of the way, flinging herself over his body. "PAPA! PAPA!" she cried, "please! No, no, no, no. You can't!" She sobbed pushing someone's hands away from her. "please papa!!" She shook him over and over again until she couldn't anymore. After becoming numb, someone lifted her into their arms. Akira knew by the scent that it was her uncle Nigel. She buried her face in his chest. She remembered what he father had said about she wasn't about to disobey him. Once she knew everyone was sleeping she'd make her way to the Night Pack.
