Blayne held back his growl, "I'm not leaving her." Blayne said, no matter how much he tried his hardest to prevent the growl it slipped through.

Edna was unaffected and glared. "I can't work with you in the room. You'll get in my way. Please Alpha let me do my job without having to worry about you as well." Edna's voice had softened at the end and Blayne sighed, looking one last time at his mate who laid lifeless and pale in their bed, Blayne whimpered low in pain at seeing his mate like this before nodding and leaving the room.

Blayne couldn't stand outside the door without wanting to go inside so instead he took himself down stairs.

Thomas was sitting down stairs when he seen his Alpha and best friend walking down, he quickly stood up from his chair and hesitated to ask. Blayne seen Thomas waiting and cleared his throat. "Edna kicked me out. She said I'd get in the way, so she sent me away." Blayne tried his best to stay strong, to not sound weak but he didn't care. "I can't live without her Thomas, I just can't."

Thomas chest felt heavy for his friend, and his Luna. "Don't worry Blay. She's a fighter, always has been she'll be fine." Thomas grasped Blay's shoulder in silent support.

Blayne nodded and straightened his back and shoulders, holding his head high. "She is. I know she'll be okay. I'll be in my office." Blayne didn't wait for a reply but instead turned and headed to his office where he locked himself in. He may have acted as if he was fine, and though he was sure that his mate would fight he still had this fear in him. She had been so pale, so cold, and she never responded to him.

Blayne quickly pushed the depressing thoughts away, and laid his forehead against his desk. Without realizing that he'd fallen asleep just moments after.

Blayne jolted awake at the sound of someone knocking at his door, he quickly jumped out of his chair and walked to the door, unlocking it. When he opened and seen Edna standing there the questions flew. "Is she okay? What happened? Is she awake?"

Edna took a breath, "she's alive, and stable."

Blayne staggered with relief, but the look on Edna's face left him wondering if there was more to it. "What else is there Edna? What aren't you telling me?"

Edna shook her head, "I can't tell you Alpha. I'm sure you'll find out soon enough."

Blayne became agitated at the lack of answers. "I will command you if I hav-"

Edna held her hand up, effectively cutting him off. "Forgive me for my disrespect but I 'will' not tell you. I promise Alpha you will find out." Edna didn't wait for her Alpha to reply, but turned and left the room. Leaving him completely confused and shocked by her actions.

Akira had woken groggy and aching something terrible. She was utterly relieved to see Edna standing beside her when she woke. Edna had filled her in quickly on what had happened what she had found, and lets just say it was quite a surprise and miracle. Akira knew that it was important to listen to Edna when she had told Akira to at least stay in bed for the day. Edna was one of the sweetest women Akira had ever met, but today she had proven to be stern, and somewhat terrifying.

Akira looked around the room slowly, wondering where Blayne was. She wished he would hurry up and come see her, she needed to tell him the good news. Akira's thoughts abruptly died, when she remembered the whole reason she was leaving. Vivian and Blayne kissing. Just the memory of it brought an ache to Akira's chest. She'd missed him so much and had wanted him when she was held captive but the pain was still there.

Akira shook her head, feeling conflicted. She wanted to tell Blayne because he had every right to know. She also wanted to forget everything she'd seen, but she couldn't because her heart and pride wouldn't let her.

Akira couldn't help, but want Blayne to beg and grovel for her forgiveness and another part of her felt guilty for having such a though. But he'd destroyed a part of her when she'd seen her mate with another she-wolf.

Akira closed her eyes tightly. She loved him so much and she knew that he loved her, but it hurt so badly. Akira's blood began to boil when she thought about Vivian and wondered where she was. Akira vowed that once she was better, she would rip her throat out. The sudden thought of her precious miracle had her calming down immediately.

Edna had been so worried about Akira's ribs, she didn't think that any were broken but the fact that she was hit so close to the stomach had scared her. She was also afraid because of Akira going through her first shift without her mate.

Akira closed her eyes and sighed, when she suddenly heard the door open. Opening her eyes and turning she saw Blayne walk into the room. Akira couldn't help, but notice instantly that his eyes had dark circles under them, his face hadn't been shaved, and he just looked utterly tired.

Blayne couldn't have been more happier when he walked into the room and seen his mate sitting up in bed, he didn't hesitate to walk over to the bed and reach out to touch her. He needed to, if he didn't he would go crazy. Blayne smiled when Akira leaned into his touch, then became serious. "I was so worried. I thought- I thought that I'd lost you." Blayne managed to get out.

Akira opened her eyes to look at Blayne and was taken back by what she'd seen. Blayne's eyes shinned with unshed tears. Akira lifted her hand and covered the hand that Blayne had on her cheek with her own. "I'm here now. Let's- Let's not think about it now, okay?"
