Five Year's Later.
Akira stood in the kitchen making lunch. She felt like she was making lunch for an army since she was making it for the entire pack. Once Akira was done, she called out. "LUNCH!" Akira could instantly hear the small feet of her four year old son, Alex. When she seen him she automatically pointed to the chair. "Sit I'll bring it to you." Akira said softly, then beamed as she watched her mate walk into the kitchen.
Blayne walked into the kitchen that smelt like mac-n-cheese. He spotted his mate behind the island preparing their son a plate. Blayne wasted no time walked to his mate and nuzzling his face in her neck. "Afternoon love."
Akira sighed, whispering. "Afternoon Blay." Akira moved away from Blayne and grabbed the plates she'd made for them. She sat Blayne's at the head of the table, then sat Alex's down in front of him off to the right and then she sat down with her own on Blayne's left.
"Are you ready for school Alex?" Akira asks shaking her head as she watched her son shovel food into his mouth.
Alex chewed his food then nodded eagerly. "Yes! Beta Thomas is going to take me today, right Dada?" Alex looked to his father, hopeful.
Blayne chuckled and nodded. "He is. Your mother and I have to go into the city so Beta Thomas will also be picking your up from school. You make sure to behave for him."
Alex nodded, and Akira sighed contently as she listened to Blayne and Alex talk about sports, training, school and practically anything else that interested them. Five years. Akira couldn't believe that the time had flew so quickly, she still thought about her father and she knew that he would have loved to meet Alex. But, she no longer cries for him. Akira had let Nigel take over as Alpha for the Day pack knowing that her father would have agreed with her.
Blayne listened happily to his son's rambles. He'd talked about everything and anything his mind could come up with. Blayne snuck a peek at his mate who was smiling happily at them. He reached out and took her hand and gave her a gentle smile. "I love you." Blayne mouthed, smiling brightly when Akira mouthed it back, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
"Beta Thomas is here!" Alex suddenly yelled, startling both Akira and Blayne. Akira stood and grabbed all the empty plates and set them in the sink while Blayne got Alex ready to leave. Thomas strolled in smiling proudly at Alex.
"That was a good nose pup." Alex beamed brightly at Thomas's praise and went to stand at his side.
Blayne stands and nods to Thomas, "be good son." Blayne warns gently while Alex nods and leaves with Thomas. Blayne walked to the wall which had all their picture's and smiled. He couldn't believe how lucky he'd been over the years. He'd not only got his beautiful and perfect mate but now he's got a son, one who is energetic and smart, he'll make a great Alpha one day.
Akira walked out of the kitchen and spotted Blayne looking at the family pictures. She walked up beside him, and wiggled her way into his side.
Blayne chuckled at Akira's actions and draped his arm over her shoulder pulling her tighter into his side. He leaned over and kissed her forehead. Blayne looked down at Akira, studying her peaceful and happy expression as she looks at the pictures.
He love her still if not more than the day he first saw her. She's the day to his night, but he will always be her Big, Bad Alpha.
