Blayne froze, never thinking about that. "Edna, can you possibly make the plans for the celebration?" Blayne felt horrible that he'd never remembered about the celebration, but he'd been so concerned for destroying the threat against his mate that he hadn't thought about it.
Edna nodded immediately, "yes! I would love to Alpha. I know you have much to take care of. Leave this to me."
Blayne nodded and watched as Edna stood and left the room with a huge smile on her face. Blayne again leaned back in his chair and thought about this Darrel who wanted his mate.
He knew for a fact that he'd kill any male who dared to think about his mate, but he didn't know Darrel and he's already killed William. Now there's a threat inside his pack? This just keeps growing.
Akira got out of her bath, feeling slightly better yet she was suddenly tired. She wrapped the towel around her and remembered that she was in Blayne's room. Sighing she walked to his closet and pulled out one of his shirts, putting it on. When she walked back into the room she smelt food and looked around, smiling when she seen the tray sitting on the night stand. Akira didn't waste any time walking over and digging in.
When she'd finished she felt even more tired so she laid down and decided to take a nap. She felt content here, smelling her mates scent and it took her no time at all to fall asleep.
Blayne sat in his office the entire day, trying to finish the growing mountain of paper work while also deep in thought about if Vivian was the one who was trying to get rid of Akira by helping the Red pack.
Blayne sighed, pushing the papers away. Blayne's office door suddenly opened revealing Thomas, Blayne instantly noticed his expression and kept his mouth shut about barging into his office without permission.
"There are two of the Red pack members close to us." Thomas said urgently.
"How close?" Blayne asked. Thomas shook his head obviously confused.
"Blayne their close enough that I can smell them when I get close to the border yet, not one of our guards has brought it to yours nor my attention. I don't understand."
Blayne nodded, unsure of how to fix this. Not everyone could be betraying them. So how are they getting close to them without the guards or the trackers knowing? "Our females." Blayne began just realizing the dangers to them. "Make sure our females are watched, don't let any of them wonder around alone. I want them to be inside their homes before night fall from now on." Blayne was about to add more when someone knocked on his door. "Come." Blayne said impatiently, he hid his frown when he seen Vivian peek her head in and then walk inside.
"I need to speak to you about something Alpha." Vivian said, smiling.
Thomas looked to Blayne who nodded. Thomas stood and left the room not hiding his disgust with Vivian as he left. "What is it Vivian?" Blayne asked.
Vivian didn't answer and Blayne didn't know how to react at first when Vivian suddenly launched herself around his desk and onto his lap, her lips crashed against his.
Akira woke slowly, noticing instantly that the room was dark. She sighed knowing she had slept through the whole day. She turned to her side expecting to see Blayne laying beside her but didn't. For a moment she just laid there confused, then decided to get up and go find him.
Akira looked down noting that Blayne's shirt went well past her butt so decided she didn't need to put anything more on.
Hoping that because it was so late there wouldn't be many awake at this hour. Walking out of the room she headed down the hallway, then down the stairs smiling because she had finally learned her way around the place she would soon call her home.
She walked towards Blayne's office not bothering to knock, her smile disappearing as she froze looking at the sight in front of her. Akira's eyes instantly filled with tears as she seen Vivian sitting on Blayne's lap, her lips molded to his along with her body. Akira felt her heart breaking at the sight, her chest felt as if someone had taken a knife and stabbed her, twisting it repeatedly.
Akira didn't want to be here anymore, any thoughts of this being her home vanished. She just wanted to leave. She turned and hit the door making it swing open and hit the wall. The sound sounded as if a bomb had gone off in the silence.
Blayne was about to push Vivian away when a sudden bang made Vivian move on her own, Blayne looked past Vivian to see what had made the sound when he seen Akira standing in the door way. She jerked her head away from the door and stared straight at Blayne. Her expression a mixture of hurt and betrayal. Blayne was about to speak when she began to back away then turned and took off.
Blayne pushed Vivian off of his lap, calling to Thomas through the link. He had never hit a woman before but right this minute he wanted nothing more than to kill Vivian for her actions. The actions that very well lost him his mate. Thomas burst through the door and looked down at Vivian who was still sitting on the floor. "Get her out of here!" Blayne growled.
He needed to go after Akira and explain what had happened. Not waiting any longer Blayne left his office in a run, tracking Akira's scent. His heart dropped when he followed it to the opened front door.
