Blayne walked with his Beta, Thomas along the forest. "Everything is as it should be." Thomas said calmly.
"Good, I heard a message from William that there are new wolves in the area. He told me to watch our females." Blayne replied. He trusted William, he has always been a friend to him and sometimes more like a father.
Thomas turned to me, "they're looking for a new pack?" He asked, curious. But Blayne shook his head.
"No. William said that he's sure they're willing to steal females. Which is why I want our females warned. They aren't to go off pack territory alone." Blayne said sternly.
Thomas nodded, completely agreeing with his Alpha. "Yes, I agree. What are we going to do about this pack?"
Blayne doesn't say anything for a moment as he thinks about his options. "Nothing. We will wait. Hope that they move on. If they don't we will deal with them." Thomas nods, yet again agreeing with his Alpha. They walk around patrolling in silence, but Thomas catches Blaynes attention when he notices that Thomas is simply staring down at the ground with narrowed eyes. So Blayne walks over to him, curious as to what he's staring at. "What is it?"
Thomas points to the fresh prints on the ground, "the scent isn't one of ours, Blay." Thomas even sounded a bit concerned. Blayne frowned, he couldn't blame him. These prints were close to the pack house. Blayne follows them, watching as they head south. His frown deepened when he noticed that they seemed to go around them as if they were searching for something. "I have a bad feeling about this Blay." Thomas said quietly, near whisper. Blayne didn't admit it but he agreed.
"Thomas, you and a couple others go to the Day Pack. Make sure everything is okay with William and... the others." Blayne said hesitantly. Thomas didn't hesitate to leave, and Blayne watched him go. He could only think of one person right now and that was Akira.

*Blayne waited almost two days for Thomas to return. He had not slept since he left, his mind was left wondering if Akira was alright. If William was alright. Blayne needed to get out of his office, going out side he was happy to see Thomas moving quickly towards him, but the closer Thomas got to him the more his gut clenched with unease.
"Thomas, what's wrong? What happened?" Blayne asked in a rush, demanding to know what happened. He prayed to the goddess that everything was alright, but the look on Thomas face was anything but good news.
Thomas stopped in front of Blayne, panting. It had impressed Blayne on how fast Thomas had been getting to the Day pack and back. But, now he was feeling impatient on the news. "Hurry up Thomas!" Blayne commanded.
Thomas straightened his shoulders, preparing himself for the worse. "William has been murdered." He said.
Blayne staggered as if he had just been delivered a blow to the face. Thomas continued with his report. "I was met by Nigel, Williams brother. He told me that just two days ago William was attacked by the same pack Alpha that you was told about." Thomas paused, unsure how to tell him about Akira.
Blayne was deep in thought, until his body stiffened. If William was dead, then what happened to the most important person to him? "Akira? Where is Akira?" Blayne asked.
Thomas sighed, "she's missing Alpha. Nigel said after he pulled her off of William that he put her to bed. But, when he woke the next morning to go and check on her she wasn't in her room. He and the other members have been searching since but they haven't found her yet. The pack that is responsible for Williams death is also now gone." Thomas paused. "Alpha, Nigel also told me that the Alpha that killed William has put a mate claim on Akira."
Blayne stood there, absorbing the information he was given before he growled, furious. "WHAT?!" He roared.
Thomas flinched back, bowing his head. "That is what I was told Alpha." Blayne didn't speak again for a long moment too deep in his rage. Someone, someone dared to try and claim what was his! "Gather our trackers, find Akira!" Blayne ordered. Thomas didn't hesitate to do as his Alpha ordered. Blayne continued to stand there, thinking of all the possibilities. He should have been there, to help. He should have claimed Akira the moment he found out they were mates, but he couldn't. He respected William to much, and decided to let her learn more about being an Alpha from her father.
