Naomi quickly left the jail cell block, to go on cleaning and scope out the area. I sat in here for awhile. I wondered when I would get out, or how they would try and "re-educate" me. I didn't know what it meant, or what was involved in it. Whatever it was, I didn't know. Autumn seemed to be... Purposefully not telling me anything to do with it. No information on it at all. Then I heard the metal door slam open again. I guessed it was Autumn. She quickly walked down the half lit hallway, up to my jail cell. I looked at her, and she gave me a weird, lip biting look.
"Well, well, time for the first day of re-education," She informed me, then smirked."Whatever that means," I mumbled. I didn't know what it was, but I wasn't scared. Whatever laid beyond for me I would take. She didn't say anything back, then opened the jail cell. Giving me the look to follow her, I did so. We walked out of the cell block, and into the main hallway, which was yet again, half lighten. We walked down the hallway, and she stopped at a door. There was a sign on the door that informed us: "The holding room." Whatever that meant, I didn't like it at all. Autumn smirked at me, and without a word she opened the door.
On the inside, was a cell block. Then after looking around, I noticed that Beasts were freely roaming around. Is this really what they believe? They really let these disgusting creatures roam around? There were just a dozen of them, but still. When I learnt they captured them to look for a cure, I thought they put them in a jail cell like they did with me. Then I realized, they treat me less than a Beast. At least they had a right to roam around, I didn't. Their fucked up beliefs would soon be collapsed into the reality of this. They couldn't let these things roam around freely, is she that stupid? Then, all of the Beasts took notice into our presence. They all started running towards us.
"Autumn..." I whispered. She didn't respond. She looked at me with her back against the door with a smirk on her face. "Autumn," I yelled slightly louder. The Beasts got closer and closer, now only a few yards away. "AUTUMN!" I screamed, then moved her out of the way of the door, making her fall to the ground, I swiftly opened the door and left her behind. A few seconds later, she slammed open the door.
"Damn you!" She screamed at me.
"What the fuck was that? Don't treat me like I'm the idiot here! You're the one with fucked up beliefs!" I told her. Then I looked at her, and she put her wrist up. She had a bite mark on it. "Oh my god," I gasped in horror. It was kind of ironic. She didn't believe in killing them, but yet, she was the one that got bit for not fighting back. Even though it's been over ten seconds since she's been bitten, once in a while people turned into a Beast up to an hour later.
"You fucking idiot! You could've saved me!" She hollered at me. Well what was the fucking purpose? To fucking scare me?
"Well what the fuck were we doing there?" I questioned.
"I was trying to show you that... Um.. You shouldn't leave someone behind," She bullshitted me. She was lying.
"Bullshit! You were trying to have me killed! Or turn me into one of those things, you fucking idiot!" I yelled at her.
"Okay.. Okay.." She whispered, basically admitting her half-ass plan. She was a terrible leader. She didn't know any better though, poor idiot.
"Well, now you're infected, so we can do this the easy way, or the hard way!" I hissed at her.
"What do you mean?" She questioned. She knew what I meant. She can't be that stupid. I pulled out keys from behind my back, and twirled them around my finger. Those were her keys, I quickly grabbed them off her when I threw her to the ground. This was all in the heat of the moment. I quickly saw opportunity as she let her guard down when she leaned against the door. So I took the idea and went with it.
"Y-you... D-don't you dare!" She tried ordering me. I just looked at her and laughed. I ran, and my leg burned because of the pain from being shot.I limped down the hall as fast as possible, still outrunning her, I ignored the pain in my leg and powered through. She quickly ran in pursuit after me too. But to no avail, I was faster than her, even with the limp, I kept going, even with my entire leg burning in pain. I passed by many people who looked at me, then I shoved out of the way, trying to use them as obstacles to slow her down. It slowed her down a little, but to no avail, I reached her office first. She was still a few yards behind, and I quickly inserted each key into the door until I figured out it was the right one. She barely caught up to me when I found the right key, put it in the door. I opened it, as she tried to come in behind me I slammed it behind her and locked the door quickly, and I screamed in pain from my leg throbbing. I soon heard knocking and slamming on the door. I went through her desk, and quickly found all of mine and Naomi's stuff, hidden in a safe space, all of which was in the bags. The door started slamming, as I heard someone else trying to slam the door open along with her. I found my gun and another one in a drawer, I put that pistol in my pocket. I quickly loaded the other pistol. The door slammed open. I saw Autumn rushing in first, then another person coming from behind her.
"I wouldn't if I were you," I told both of them, as I pointed the pistol at Autumn.
