Chapter 28

(Mason's Point of View)

The first word that hit my mind was... John. I was shocked. I could not believe he actually helped kidnap Avery. I should have known he was the one helping them. He left so many clues behind. Almost every time something bad happened he was close by. He would always be on his phone probably giving direct location. For example the time the time we went to the club he was texting someone. That's the same time Avery almost got kidnapped. I should have taken his phone when I had the chance, but I was to worried about Avery and didn't think of the possibility that he could have been the main source of help.

"I know that kid." I told both Adam and Mark.

"Well, who is he?" Mark asked.

"He was a friend of Avery's and mind. He just moved to school this year and him and Avery instantly hit it off. I remember being a little jealous at first, but he was such a nice guy and I also became friends with him." I told them both.

"Well, there is a stupid mistake right there Mason you should have checked his background. It makes me a little suspicious how he decided to move here this year; the same exact year Alberto found where she has been living. Also how he wants to kidnap her and how the first and only person he really made good friends with at first is Avery. You see where I am going with this?" Adam explained to me.

"Yeah I see, but I was so caught up in looking for danger I was looking for it in the wrong people." I responded back,

"Understandable, but Mark could you make that call to Andrew so he can track down were she is and Mason you should probably make a call to Alberto stating that you have the rocks and where do u want to meet up at." Adam told us.

"Alright I am going to go call Andrew." Mark told us and then headed out the door.

"Adam we don't have the rocks and even if we did why in the hell would we even give It to them? I asked him.

"Well you see I was able to find a rock that looks exactly what he wants, but when you grind it the rocks will turn to a powder. The powder though is not explosive at all if anything it is like almost impossible to get it to hold a fire. So if he made a bomb out of this rock it is very unlikely for it to even explode." Adam told me.

"That's an amazing plan. Well done!" I complimented him and gave Adam a quick pat on the shoulder.

I soon got up and walked outside the door where it would be quiet. I took out my phone from my back pocket and punched the numbers into the keypad. I then put the phone up to my ear and waited for Alberto or one of his minions to answer the phone. After the third ring I feared he was not going to pick up, but not a ring later did I hear heavy breathing and an answer coming from the other line.

"Hello?" Alberto's voice rang through the telephone line.

"Hello Alberto." I replied my voice cold and hard. "We have your rocks where would you like to meet up?" I asked.

"Oh I am so glad. It took you long enough. Well, How about at the old ware house near Edgar Street?"

"Alright, but you better have Avery with you. Do we have a deal?" My voice still hard and cold.

"Why of course! I shall see you there at 8:00pm no later." he replied.

Before I even had a chance to reply he slammed down the phone and the only thing heatd was the annoying beeping noise that signalled nobody was on the other line. I ran my fingers through my hair and went back into the room where Adam should be waiting.

Not a moment later Mark walked in telling Adam and I that he had just got of the phone with Andrew. he told us Andrew would be here with in a few minutes. That was a relief to me. I sat there watching as the video footage replayed. It was about a good ten minutes till Andrew finally came.

The door became wide open and Andrew walked in holding a laptop case and a bunch of other wires. He first began to record the video tape on the computer because after twenty four hours the tape would clear itself so it would have enough film for the next day. Once that was done he sent it to the agency.

"Okay now that video recording is finished being transferred I can finally locate her. Okay now, lets see... Oh yeah, right here; I got her!" Andrew told us happily.

"Where is she?" I asked eager to know.

"Well, don't keep us waiting man spill!" Mark told Andrew. I could tell he wanted to find Avery to.

"Alright, no need to ambush me guys!" He chuckled at our eager responses. "Well, her cellphone is still in her, but she is at a small rancher style home on maple street." He told us.

"What should we do Mason?" questioned Adam. "Should we go and get her now?"

"No, not now." I answered. "It would be to soon. Its broad daylight anybody would see us coming and that would ruin our chances of getting her back safely. We have just got to keep tracking her until we have to meet up with Alberto and if she is not there then we will send men separately to go get her while I distract him because he might not bring her and ask for something more.

"I personally do not think Alberto is that smart. He probably will bring her so he can move on to his next victim, who ever that is. He is not the brightest crayon  in the box." Mark told me.

"Yeah well just in case." I responded back. "Well alright boys lets get suited up and start to head up. You did call for backup right Mark?" I asked.

"Yeah the whole place should be swarming with agents, that are camouflaged in so they won't be noticeable. We have also hooked up Cameras in the place so we can see what to be prepared for."

"You can watch it from my computer." Andrew told us.

"Alright if every things in order lets get ready." I responded.

We all put on equipment on. Our equipment consisted of a vest for our top half which was covered by a shirt and long black pants with black boots. I also had my gun attached to the side of my hip. After everybody was ready we got into a black dodge truck and took off to save Avery.

We finally arrived at the old ware house at Edgar street. I parked the truck behind a tree near the abandon ware house so they could not really see it. Andrew who sat in the front seat quickly opened up his computer and went live to the video cameras. He switched them to night vision because it was starting to get really dark.

We waited in the car hoping to catch some movement, but there was no activity. I then hooked a Bluetooth in my ear so the boys could speak to me at any moment to warn me about something. It was 5:58 and I started to walk out of my car closer to the ware house.
