Chapter 20
(Avery's Point of view)
I woke up today with what had to be the biggest smile I have ever had on my face. No words could describe how happy I was yesterday. What he did was the sweetest thing anybody has ever done. I am proud to say I am Mason's girlfriend. I liked the sound of that rolling of my tounge. I got out of bed and got dressed for my last day of school. Basically my graduating ceromony.
I threw the warm covers off of me and jumped out of bed eager to see Mason. I quickly hopped into the shower to wash my hair and shave my legs. When I was finished I grabbed my bath towel and practically ran out of the shower. I want to my bedroom where I slipped on this cute dress that was white on the top half and black and white polka dots on the bottom.
With 20min left to finish everything I quickly dried and straightened my hair to perfection. I added a cute pair of shiny black pumps I had in my closet. For my makeup I put a coat of shiny lip gloss on, a little bit of blush, and some eyeliner. I did not want to over do my make up.
Soon enough that 20 minutes turned into 20 seconds and a knock came at my door and my guess is it is Mason picking me up. I grabbed my cap and gown and headed to the door. Of course I was right when I peeked though the peep whole standing at my door was non other that Mason holding a bunch of red roses. I could not help, but smile every time I saw a red rose because I always thought back to what Mason had down for me that night.
I opened the door with a giant smile on my face. I had missed Mason all night. I was so happy to finally see him again.
"Hey Ave, these are for you." Mason said handing me the bouquet of red roses.
'Thanks." I said blushing a bright red. "Let me go put these in a vase." I quickly turned around and went to my kitchen to find a vase. I grabbed a pretty glass vase that had beautiful drawings of different types of flowers on it. I filled the glass with water and put the roses in next to my other vase of roses that were starting to slowly die off.
"Alright I am ready let's go graduate!" I smiled.
"Alright, but before we leave I need a good morning kiss." He stated with a glint of mischievousness in his eyes.
"That's fine with me." I smiled back at him and leaned in closer to him and gave him a lingering good morning kiss.
"I think we should start a tradition and do that every day now, don't you think?" He joked with me and intertwined our hands together and walked to his car.
"You know what I totally agree with you, I think we should." I let out a giggle.
Mason and I got in the car together and drove off to our school. While driving Mason still kept one hand holding mine. The ride to school did not take long at all. It was an exciting day for me. Today would be my last day of school. I could not wait for it to be all over with.
When we stopped Mason being the gentleman he is got out of the car and walked over to my side and opened up the door from me. I got out and grabbed his hand. The car beeped meaning it was locked and we headed to the auditorium where the graduation ceremony was held.
Mason and I walked up to the stairs and sadly we had to separate because the seats were set up in first name order and apparently A was pretty far away from M. I felt the warmth disappear by my side when Mason had to take his seat.
So far the ceremony was pretty boring I was sitting there in my cap and gown so far for an hour while the teachers, assistant principal, and principal made hour long speeches about us and there was also some of the students who were chosen to talk about this year.
