Chapter 15
(Avery's Point of View)
I woke up this morning completely exhausted and drained. I slowly removed the covers off of me and dragged myself out of my warm comfy bed. As I stepped onto my carpet I felt cold without my blanket and the cool air send chills up my spine. I slipped out of my bed and slowly trudged to my bathroom to get a shower. I peeled my clothes off and felt the warm water of the shower relax my muscles.
As I stepped out of the shower my feet met with the cold tan tile. I tightly wrap the white fluffy towel around my body and I blow dried my hair. I put my hair into a bun and put on my clothes. I decided to wear comfortable clothes to day and ended up just throwing some sweat pants on and a light blue, tight, tank top. I just finished in time when I heard a knock coming from downstairs.
"COMING!" I yelled.
I threw my towel on the bed and gave myself a reminder to hang that up later. With that reminder still fresh in my mind I quickly ran down the stairs to answer the door. When I reached the front door I peeked through the peep hole and saw Mason.
"Hey Mason!" I greeted.
"Hey Ave!" He replied back to me. Mason then pulled me into a hug and I responded back without hesitation.
I stepped back so I could allow Mason to come in.
"So what do you want to do?" He asked walking in to the house.
"Well we could rent a move from Netflix, if you want to."
"Alright, it sounds like a plan because right now I cannot think of anything else to do." He laughed
Mason then grabbed my hand and ran with me in tow to our TV room. I laughed at how excited he seemed to want to watch a movie. He pulled next to him and I snuggled into his side.
"So, what do you want to watch?" I asked.
"How about we watch that movie Identity Thief?"
"That sounds good; I actually really wanted to see that!"
"Alright then it settled."
"Alright then let me go grab some junk from my secret stash and some popcorn!"
With that said I ran into the kitchen and put the popcorn bag in the microwave. A couple minutes later I quickly grabbed the hot popcorn bag and dropped on the counter. Man, that is hot I thought to myself. I quickly got out a blue bowl that would be able to hold all the popcorn in it. Then I opened the popcorn bag as fast as I could trying not to burn myself and dumped the popcorn into the bowl. I could see the steam rising off of it.
I then opened the cabinet and grabbed a bunch of junk food like, skittles, snickers, Reese’s peanut butter cups, air heads, sour patch kids and anything I could find. I grabbed the popcorn bowl and my stash of candy and ran to the TV room to see the movie.
When I got back Mason grabbed the remote from the table and rented the movie. We laughed a lot during the movie we both really enjoyed it!
After the movie was over Mason tried to sing the milkshake song just like the girl did during the car ride. I could not stop laughing.
"Stop Mason!" I laughed in between breaths I managed to get out, "because you are so horrible." I could not stop laughing because he wouldn't stop I started throwing uneaten popcorn at him. That is how we ended up having a popcorn war.
I ducked behind the couch trying to take cover. I would peek my head up every now and then and aim a popcorn piece at him.
"You better watch out Ave because I am coming to get you!"
