"Come on Harl, let's go" Ivy called from her car. "Coming bay-bee!" Harley replied, closing the front door and skipping to the car. Harley got in the car next to Ivy and the car started to move. The drive to Gotham was going to take at least forty-five minutes. It was mostly longs stretches of roads that had woods on either side. Ivy's house is morer less in the middle of the forest. This is one of the reasons why Ivy loves where she lives. It's very secluded and is surrounded by nature. Her house is surrounded by beautiful greenery and quietness. No city, no chaos. Just peace.
Ivy did not mind at all that Harley is living with her and will be living with her for a long time to come. Ivy loved living with Harley. Harley was a sister, a daughter and a close friend all in one for Ivy. Harley would make Ivy laugh. No matter what emotion Ivy was in, Harley would always manage to put a smile on Ivy's face. Ivy could go on forever about Harley.
The same could be said for Harley living with Ivy but for different reasons. Harley loves the fact that Ivy is very gentle. She is very caring towards her and it made Harley happy. Harley felt like she could tell Ivy anything. She felt safe and loved round Ivy. Ivy looked after Harley and she was very thankful. If Harley was injured, Ivy would look after her. If Harley was sad, Ivy would comfort her and cheer her up. Harley felt like Ivy was her mother, her sister, and someone she could always trust no matter what,
During the drive, Harley and Ivy talked in short sentences. Since they live together, they don't have much to talk about. And because they live in the middle of nowhere, there's even less to discuss. However, they did talk about the shops in Gotham.
As they got closer, Ivy noticed that Harley had grown a bit quiet. Ivy knew instantly she was worried. Whenever Harley went quiet, it meant she was worried and had something on her mind. "You okay Harl?" Ivy asked. "Huh-oh yeah, I'm okay" Harley replied. Harley's nerves were clear in her response.
Ivy thought for a few moments before speaking. "We haven't been to the city since... Well, you know" Ivy began. Harley stared at the floor of the car in front of her. "Baby, I know you're scared. I know your nervous. It's okay to be nervous. You have been through a lot and have gone through things no person should go through... But it's behind you now. You're no longer surrounded by that creep, you're with me. And for as long as you're with me, I will protect you. That's a promise" Ivy went on. Ivy stopped at some traffic lights that were on red. Harley looked at Ivy. "Y-you promise red?" Harley asked quietly. Ivy looked at Harley and smiled. "I promise" Ivy replied softly. Harley smiled slightly and quickly hugged Ivy, wrapping her arms round her. "Thanks red" Harley muffled into Ivy's clothes. It's okay" Ivy smiled. "Love you" Harley added softly. Ivy was surprised but relaxed quickly. "I love you too" Ivy replied, knowing her love was much deeper than Harley knew.
They arrived in Gotham and went straight to the mall. Ivy parked up and got out. Harley followed Ivy and they walked together into the mall. Harley and Ivy walked through the entrance and went straight to the escalators, taking them to the next floor. They found the clothes shop and they went inside.
The pair spent around twenty minutes looking round the shop. Once they had been round the shop, they had a handful of clothes. They spent a further five minutes deciding what to keep. In the end, Ivy brought Harley a variety of things including tops, underwear and other various items. Ivy paid for the clothes and the pair then went to a restaurant to eat.
Two hours went by. Ivy and Harley are back at the house. As soon as they got back, Harley dragged Ivy up to the bedroom so then she could try on the clothes. Ivy sat on the edge of her bed and watched as Harley undressed multiple times, trying on all the things Ivy had brought her.
After trying everything on; getting smiles and some comments from Ivy, Harley was now down to her underwear. She went over and sat beside Ivy. Harley instantly wrapped her arms round Ivy and planted a big kiss on Ivy's cheek. "Thank you red!" Harley gushed with a huge smile on her face. The kiss shocked Ivy. It melted Ivy's heart as well as giving Ivy butterflies in her stomach. Trying to keep her true feelings from Harley is tough. Especially when Harley does things that makes Ivy love her.
"It's okay Harl" Ivy replied with a smile, putting an arm round her. Harley leaned back causing the pair to lie back on the bed, side by side. Harley giggled and Ivy chuckled. They layed in that position for a few moments before Harley turned on her side facing Ivy and she rested her head on Ivy's chest. Harley's hand rested on Ivy's stomach. Ivy instantly wrapped Harley in her arms for comfort and for warmth. Ivy wasn't thinking at all. She just wanted Harley in her arms. After everything that went down today, Ivy was more determined than ever in telling Harley how she truly feels...

Ooooh, interesting! I'm such a bugger for ending it here though haha. Do you think Ivy will sum up the courage to tell Harley next chapter? Just have to wait and see. See you all in the next chapter!
