Harley slowly wandered into the kitchen where Christie and Ivy were. As she walked, Harley rubbed her left eye and yawned. "Morning, sleepy" Ivy smirked before taking a sip of her drink. "Morning Harley" Christie smiled. "Morning" Harley replied, beginning to make her breakfast. Ivy and Christie left the kitchen and walked into the living room. Harley finished making her breakfast and followed Ivy and Christie. Ivy and Christie were having a little debate about a TV Show as Harley walked into the room. "I dunno sis, I still reckon that Alex will get back together with her" Christie argued. Ivy just smiled and shook her head as Harley sat down next to Christie and crossed her legs before digging into her breakfast. "Anyway, I was thinking about today" Christie began. "Yeah?" Ivy replied. "Mhmm?" Harley mumbled with her mouthful. "Well, yesterday you two were stuck in and unpacking the rest of your stuff. You've been here a week and you haven't seen the main part of this place yet. Sooooo, I was wondering if you two wanted to go out and I'll show you round town for the first time. I'll even take you to my favourite restaurant. How does that sound girls?" Christie asked."Sounds great!" Ivy replied. "Ymmmmmm!" Harley cheered with her mouth closed; full of food. Ivy and Christie just laughed, causing Harley to nearly spit out her breakfast by trying not to laugh. After agreeing on their outing, they went on to talk about other things whilst finishing off their drinks and breakfast. They then got ready individually. They all showered and got dressed. Harley and Ivy didn't know what to expect since this was the first time going into town. It made the experience more exciting for them.
Christie was the first to be ready and Harley was last. Once they were ready, they left the house and began their walk to the bus stop. It was only down the road which was handy. They paid and got on board. The bus wasn't very busy so there were plenty of seats. It took a further ten minutes to get into town. They got off the bus and Harley and Ivy took in the sight. It wasn't what they were expecting. Where Harley and Ivy came from, the town was very modern with mostly tall buildings. This town looked and felt like it belonged in a different era. The atmosphere had a very relaxed feel to the town. Christie first took them to a small market which was busy with people walking round and looking at various stalls. Ivy and Christie both brought a necklace from one of the stalls while Harley brought a bracelet.
The trio continued looking around the market, looking at stalls that caught their eyes. After spending some time on the market, they were finally finished. They walked to the main area of the town. As they walked, Ivy kept an eye on a few people who were also out and enjoying their day. Ivy thought about when she and Harley will be more open about their relationship. She hoped it would be different to back home.
Christie led the way into her favourite eating place. It looked like a pub a little from the outside but it looked more like a big cottage house. Ivy and Harley were slightly blown away when they got inside. It was as if they had gone right back in time. Both had never lived or even a place like where Christie lived. Harley and Ivy always lived in the more modern style of life. Even though Ivy lived in a house in the middle of the woods, this was still all new to her as well.
Harley, Ivy and Christie managed to find an empty table in a corner next to a window. It wasn't very busy so finding somewhere to sit was very easy. They sat down, Harley next to Ivy and Christie opposite them. Harley and Ivy shared a menu while Christie had one for herself. It took them about ten minutes before finally deciding what to have. After ordering, Christie excused herself leaving Harley and Ivy alone.
"This place is so great! So peaceful" Ivy gushed. "Yeah" Harley replied. Ivy could tell there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm in her response. "Harl?" Ivy began. "Yeah?" Harley answered. "Are you... Sure you're happy we decided to come here? I mean, we made a huge change in our lives that does seem very strange I must admit. Is it that you miss the old days? You know... When we were villains?" Ivy asked. "Uhm... No, not exactly red. I think it's like you said. We've made a huge change in our lives and it feels strange" Harley said.
Ivy nodded and thought for a few moments. "Harl, I didn't want to move just because I wanted to leave Gotham, start a new life and to be with my sister" Ivy began, placing her hand on top of Harley's. "Really? But, what else would want you to move?" Harley asked, looking at Ivy. "Well, I wanted us to be a family. Living in Gotham was preventing us to properly be a family. We were together but it wasn't enough. I wanted to feel like we were a family. I knew that moving away would make that happen. Because that is all I want, a new life with you and as a family" Ivy revealed. Harley was stunned. She never knew Ivy wanted something as deep as this. Harley could tell it meant a lot to her. The truth is, now that Harley thought about it. She realised that she wants the same thing. Harley smiled and nodded at Ivy, not knowing how to respond. "And hopefully, one day we can expand our family" Ivy half whispered hurriedly as she saw Christie walking over. Harley was taken aback even more this time but had no time to respond. "Hey girls, don't know about you two but I'm starving" Christie breathed heavily as she sat down. Both Harley and Ivy smiled back in response...
