33: Harley's New Friend

Hey everyone! So the slow chapters continue in this chapter. However, you may be interested with this chapter. This chapter will go on abit longer than usual. Sorry there isn't much cuteness with Ivy though. Look out for a little Easter egg reference!

"Thanks for helping me out earlier" Harley said as she and Eve got ready to leave work. "It's alright, didn't want you to get verbal abuse for something you haven't even done" Eve replied. Harley closed her locker and looked at Eve. "Are we allowed to leave earlier?" Harley asked. "Yeah, it's pretty slack today so we would have been asked to go home early anyway" Eve told her. Harley nodded in response. "Hey, want to go get something to eat?" Eve asked, smiling slightly. "Yeah okay!" Harley agreed with a big smile on her face. "Great, let's go" Eve smiled and led the way.

Harley and Eve just finished their order and were now talking to each other as they waited for their meals. "So Harley, do you have any hobbies?" Eve began. "Not really. I like drawing and painting" Harley revealed. "Oh nice, what kind of drawings and paintings do you do?" Eve asked. "Mainly portraits of my friends" Harley answered with a smile. "That's great! You should do me" Eve joked. "Yeah!" Harley giggled. "What about you?" Harley said. "Does sleeping most of the day count?" Eve asked with a smile. Harley laughed slightly. "No way!" Harley giggled. Eve smiled and looked down at the table for a few moments.

"Tell me more about ya Eve" Harley said. Eve smiled, looking at Harley. "Well I've lived in Central City for most of my life but moved here about a year ago. Central City is a bit... chaotic. Anyway, I moved here because I wanted to get away from my life back in Central City. Hopefully make friends" Eve revealed. "Well ya made the right choice! You're in the right place. Welcome to paradise!" Harley joked with smile. Eve laughed. "I've made some friends but none like you Harley" Eve told her. "Hope that's a good thing" Harley replied. "It is" Eve laughed. "Good" Harley replied with a smile.

"You live in the city?" Eve asked. "Nah, I live just outside of town with mah girlfriend" Harley replied. "Oh you have a girlfriend?"Eve said. "Yeah! She da best" Harley sighed happily. "Aww, tell me about her" Eve asked, leaning forward in her seat. "Well here name is Pamela or Ivy, whichever you choose to call her. I call her red. We were friends for a long time, best friends in fact. I've had a rough life. Especially the past five years. Three years ago I met red and we became instant best friends. At first I was blinded and I did not wake up to how I was being treated by someone but... Red opened my eyes. Every time I was hurt and needed help, she was there for me. She's always been there for me. That's one of reasons why I love her so much..." Harley revealed, looking down at the table. Eve smiled slightly. "She sounds wonderful" Eve said softly.

Harley looked at Eve and smiled. "She is... We care about each other so much. Red's looked after me all the time. Whenever I'm hurt, she makes me better. Whenever I'm sad, she comforts me. Red is so gentle, warm and loving. I love her so much" Harley replied, her cheeks burning up slightly. Eve saw this and smiled. "Awww, so adorable" Eve stated. Harley nodded and smiled. "So you two always knew you liked each other?" Eve asked. "Not exactly. Red has always had feelings for me but was too scared to tell me. I realized nearly a year ago now. Red blurted it out and then I realized that I felt the same way but never noticed until then" Harley explained. Eve nodded, taking a sip of her drink.

Ivy sighed nervously as she patted the steering wheel. She looked at the time. Harley was twenty minutes late. "I know it's her first day and she might have to stay behind for a little bit but twenty minutes?" Ivy thought. She bit her bottom lip. Ivy was really worried. Whenever she bites her bottom lip, it's when she is really nervous and overwhelmed with worry. All of a sudden, the passenger door opened and Harley hopped in, closing the door behind her. "Hiya red!" Harley beamed happily. "Harl! Are you okay? Why are you late? What happened?" Ivy asked quickly. "Wow, one at a time red. I'm okay, I'm alright" Harley replied. "Are you sure?" Ivy asked, a bit more calmly. "Yeah I'm fine, I promise" Harley reassured. Ivy took a deep breath to calm herself down. Harley placed her hand on Ivy's leg and lifted Ivy's head with her finger on her chin. "I'm okay red, don't worry" Harley told her. Ivy took a deep breath before nodding. Harley leaned over and planted a kiss on her lips, letting the kiss linger for a few moments before moving back and smiling at Ivy. "How was your day?" Ivy asked, looking at Harley. "It was great! I made a friend called Eve" Harley began. Ivy smiled and continued to listen to her girlfriend. Loving the sound of her voice she had missed all that day...

Hope you enjoyed this chapter. I think it's good to have a chapter that focuses on Harley telling her past to someone. She's come a long way in this fanfic. Hope you all liked the Easter egg reference of Central City ;) If you have no idea what this means well it's where The Flash comes from.

So! The big news! Not many of you know this but I have actually been around on Wattpad for a long time. In fact, this October my account turns 5 years old! This is pretty amazing. Since I made my account, I've grown and got better in my writing and although some projects got cancelled, other things came and are coming that have and will be a success. My first success was Shy Love which was a rough book to write. Then my most popular current series ME is another big success. And obviously, this fanfiction is becoming a big success as well.

Now, what does all this have to do with this fanfic? Well, in October I will be releasing a 5 year anniversary book that will have a new part every day. This will start a week from the 12th of October which is the anniversary. In that book, some of my popular stories will be taking part and having their own stories. One of the parts will be Harley & Ivy! I will reveal more information closer to the time. So yeah, this fanfiction will be taking part in my 5 year anniversary book week!
