7: Love Thy Nature

Hey everyone! Before we get into this, I want to thank you for everything so far. The comments, the votes, even the views which has climbed up very fast! You are all awesome! Hopefully I'll be able to keep the great content up for this fanfiction.

It's been a few days since the rainy day. Since that day, it has been sunny. Ivy spent most of the past few days in the garden, in her green house and around the outside the house looking after her plants and conducting experiments.

Harley has helped out but left Ivy to it when she was doing more complicated work. While Ivy was busy, Harley did a variety of things. Listen to music, watch TV, go for runs and sometimes cleaned up around the house. Over the days however, Harley kept on sneezing. It wasn't constant but she was sneezing a lot more than normal. Ivy got more confused and concerned when Harley kept saying she was cold or she was hot when the temperature was opposite to what Harley was feeling. However, Harley kept reassuring that she was okay.

It's the morning and the pair are in the kitchen, eating breakfast. Ivy looked at Harley. Ivy noticed that Harley looked cold. She was wearing Ivy's dressing gown indicating it's cold, even though it's quite warm.

"You okay Harl?" Ivy asked, slightly worried. "Yeah red, I'm okay" Harley replied, looking at Ivy and smiling. "You sure?" Ivy said. "I'm sure worry gut" Harley giggled. Her giggle seemed slightly off but Ivy shrugged it off. Ivy smiled slightly when an idea came into her head. "Hey, how about we have a picnic? I know a wonderful spot in the woods. It's perfect for camping as well" Ivy suggested, standing up and going over to the sink. Harley perked up. "Yeah okay!" Harley replied excitedly. Ivy smiled to herself and began washing up.

The pair went upstairs and grabbed a towel each. Ivy froze when she realised what was about to happen. "Come on red! It's shower time!" Harley announced and dragged her into the bathroom.

After getting ready and getting some stuff together, Harley and Ivy left the house and set off to Ivy's spot she was talking about. Ivy told Harley that it's a good forty-five minute walk to the spot.

During the walk, Harley sneezed a few times. The more she sneezed, the more concerned Ivy got. Whilst they walked, they talked about random things. The scenery surrounding the pair was beautiful.

Harley looked at Ivy as the walked and smiled at her. This made Ivy smile in reply. Harley then linked her arm with Ivy's. "One day baby, one day" Ivy thought to herself.

The pair finally arrived at the spot. Ivy was right. The spot was perfect. It was a big clearing with a pile of burnt out wood in the centre of the area. Ivy set a big blanket down and Harley set the basket down once the blanket was put down. Harley and Ivy sat down. Ivy closed her eyes and breathed in and out slowly. "I love nature" Ivy sighed happily. She opened her eyes to find Harley digging through the picnic basket. Harley realised Ivy caught her. Harley froze and laughed nervously. Ivy laughed and shook her head. "Dig in Harl" Ivy said with a smile.

"We should camp out here one day, this spot is great don't you think?" Ivy suggested while Harley rummaged through the basket. Harley looked round at her surroundings and smiled slightly. "Yeah red, we should. It's a great place to camp" Harley agreed. "We could even hike through the woods. There's a long trail which is absolutely wonderful" Ivy went on. "Yeah!" Harley agreed with a big smile.

An hour went by. The pair spent that time talking, eating, laughing and remembering some funny old times. However, the laughter soon stopped when Harley started sneezing more than before. Ivy grew more concerned as Harley sneezed and hugged herself tightly to keep warm. Harley was shivering. "It's the wildlife! She's having a bad reaction to all this nature!" Ivy panicked in her thoughts. Harley looked pale. She sneezed and shivered. Then it hit Ivy. The realisation made Ivy feel a bit silly. She wasn't having a bad reaction to the nature surrounding her. "Harl? I think I know what's wrong. You have a cold" Ivy told Harley...

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter, it was a little bit shorter than usual. I'm trying to get two more out this week. If I don't then I'm really sorry! I have a very, very busy week but I will try my hardest to get at least one more chapter out.

Also, there will be no new chapters from the Sunday coming to the Sunday after. Apologies, but I will try and release three chapters to make up for the week long break.
