"So what is the year 4464 like anyway?" I asked after finishing about 3 chapters of my paranormal novel.

"Well for starters, it's completely different from 2014. Everything about a person is known just by scanning their wrist."

"Barcodes?" I asked.

William showed me. "Yes. Have you heard of the Illuminati?"

I nodded. "Yes. In this time, there are conspiracy theories about them. Half of the people either don't know about them or don't believe. I do however."

"The ones who don't believe are fools. The illuminati is real and dangerous. Linda I know you're going to be upset but I lied about something." William said solemnly.

"Lied about what?"

"I wasnt here to stop Earth from getting sucked into a black hole. I went back in time. Intentionally. I want to stop the Illuminati. The future is very advanced and what your people call the New World Order is a reality in 4464." William took a deep breath. "I'm sorry I lied to you. I'll never do it again."

"You're forgiven," I said. "But why didn't you tell me originally?"

"I don't know," William said. "I couldn't. I thought you'd freak out."

"William if we are going to be partners, we need to trust each other. We can't do this divided."

"Linda, I promise that I'll be straightforward with you. No lies. No misrepresentation. I trust you'll do the same."

"Yes." I nodded. "But I need more information about the future."

"Well there's a law that all crime is legal. One night a year." William said. "Murder, torture, rape, all the most heinous crimes."

"Oh my God. Last year, there was a movie like that. It was called The Purge." I looked at William in horror. "So all these movies about all hell breaking loose are simply telling us what the future will be like?"

"Yes." William said. "Linda I can't ask you to help me with this. I don't know what I was thinking. I couldn't bear it if anything harmed you."

"No." I stood up. "I'm helping you William. You didn't just happen to drop on my doorstep for no reason. My days of writing novels are over. This is my destiny. Our destiny. To save the world."

William stood up and held both my hands. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Surer than ever."

"Okay, step one....tell you everything you'll need to know."

"Let's do it," I agreed and William proceeded to explain everything about the future to me.
