Pet Names
I have experienced a lot of déjà vu in my life such as being dragged to the deserted part of the school, being babysat by Griffon Bronx one too many times or Kelly embarrassing me but this topped all of that.
Driving home again from digging all night in the start of winter yet it feels like the middle. We just spent the last five hours in panic mode while searching for Jack's body. We've dug up the whole area and finally came to the conclusion that he wasn't there. We left his jacket underground, not wanting anything to be conveyed to us.
None of us have spoken since we've gotten into the car. It was still raining as I sat in the back with Benny while Nick drove and Liam called shotgun. I called mom and told her I would be staying over at Miranda's and she was glad since I left a big chaos for her. Now she can clean up properly.
"Maybe we just looked in the wrong place?" Liam assumed as he broke the awkward silence. Nick let out a scoff as he turned to his friend.
"Then why was his jacket there?" he rhetorically asked. Liam thought about it and just shrugged.
"What are we goanna do?" Benny asked as he looked out the window.
To be honest I was tired of hearing that question. I didn't know how to respond yet the answer would always come to us sooner or later. I turned to Benny seeing his stare on the raindrops.
Thinking about the kiss we shared a few hours ago sent a kick up my spine. I don't know why but I enjoyed it but whenever something good happens then something just tops it.
"I don't know, just keep an eye out for anything and watch the news," Nick suggested making Liam scoff.
"Boring I'll just ask around," Liam said causing Nick to squint at him.
"What are you going to ask them huh? Have you seen a dead body lurking around? I buried him but he managed to escape." Nick babbled on as he turned on the radio.
"Everyone thinks he's missing dude you can't just ask that," Benny said looking at Liam as if he was duh.
"Oh yeah...I forgot." Liam responded.
Silence took over us but it ended soon as the radio began to play weird old music. Liam turned to it and threw his hands up in surrender.
"It's Will from Stranger Things!"
Nick then hit his radio and it was soon replaced with the radio station he set it as. He turned to Liam with an annoyed look on his face.
"For the fifth time," he said. "My radio's been faulty and no it's not Will from Stranger Things!"
"Oh yeah...I forgot."
"Why don't you get it fixed?" Benny suggested after Nick cooled down.
"Yeah, Blake said he'll help me out," Nick replied causing me to raise a brow.
"Blake?" I questioned.
"Yeah, he's actually a pro in fixing cars and stuff no wonder he has that motorcycle for so long," Liam stated.
Add that to the list of bad boy players. Oh wait! There's a difference...hint the sarcasm. He's just a combination of both in my eyes.
"Who do you think Nancy should be with Lana?" Liam asked snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Huh?"
"Nancy from Stranger Things? Steve or Jonathan?" I raised my eyebrow at his sudden change of subject but then again I'm talking to Liam Sanchez.
"Err...I don't know."
"I like Jonathan he's cool." Nick stated as he drove through the rain.
"The upside down thing was pretty cool," Benny added causing me to raise a brow.
