It Kept Me Going

"Where's my money?" Parker demanded.

The exact same words Parker asked me the last time ran through my mind. I was scared of what he'd do next. Yet I didn't think he'd do it again or now because Austin was in the room. Last time Parker just asked once and that was it, without warning he used me. Did Austin even know what kind of monster Parker was?

Throwing my hands up in surrender, they backed up. I looked at the two boys and squeaked. "It's in my locker."

Parker let out a long groan as he spun around, making his way towards the door. Austin eyed me up and down and then followed in pursuit.

"Wait..." I trailed off before Parker reached for the doorknob. Both of them turned back to me as I squinted at Austin.

"What do you mean you know about the drugs?" I asked pointing a finger in his face.

"We know that you know about the cocaine we stole," Austin said pointing his fingers to me than to him.

"I knew it!" I said pacing back and forth. I froze and looked at them while raising a brow.

"But how? Why?" I questioned.

"Money," Parker replied with a grin. No surprise there because Parker only cared about money, he didn't care who he hurt even if it was his friend.

"But Aidan's your friend! How could you do that to him?" I demanded, shoving my finger in Parker's chest.

"Because we wanted in!" Parker yelled pushing my pointed finger away. A look of confusion overcame me as I gawked at them.

"In what?"

"The money," Austin replied looking down in shame.

"Wow," I said rolling my eyes. Austin stared at me for a bit and then threw his arms up in exasperation.

"What am I suppose to do about it? They don't have it anymore." I said shrugging.

"Yes, but they do have the money." Parker pointed out.

"No, no, no, I'm not going to steal for you guys!" I stammered while pushing my glasses up.

"Either we get the money or we're telling the whole school what you've been doing." Austin threatened gesturing to the pills.

"Like you haven't done it before," I remarked trying not to look nervous.

"You have until Monday," Austin stated as he made his way to the door.

I watched as he twisted the doorknob and thrust door open. I strolled behind him looking down.

"Ouch," I grumbled as I bumped into Austin's back.

Looking up I paled. Aidan stood outside along with Melissa and Liam.

This looked bad and cliché coming out of the janitors' closet. To make matters even worse, Parker walked out whistling as if nothing happened. I hated that he'd do that he always done that, acted as if he didn't do anything. Like it was nothing.

"Aidan." I trailed off. A deceived look on his face as he glanced at the three of us.

Austin and Parker spun around and walked off as if nothing had happened. I watched as Aidan stormed off.

"Aidan wait!" I called after him.

He marched into a classroom as I chased after him. I walked in, out of breath as I shut the door.
