I avoided Arian like the Black Plague for the next two weeks.
Cowardly, I know, but I would much rather stay in the corner and watch from a distance then stand by his side and watch him die.

Easy. You let them go. I replied, feeling a sorrow I didn't know existed threaten to swallow me.
I went through my classes like nothing was wrong, taking detours around the school to avoid Arian. But you can’t avoid everyone for long. Eventually, I had to associate with people. Even if it was at lunch.
"Hello? Earth to Dominick? I swear I'm going to shove this pizza up your ass if you don't pay attention to me." James said, waving a slice of pepperoni in my face.
