Nikki's p.o.v ~
James was getting closer to me when someone barged into the room. I was expecting a nurse but the person I saw in the door way was someone I needed and missed... Harry.
"What's going on nikki? " Harry asked glancing at me and then at James trying to figure out what was happening.
"it's ok Harry everything's fine" I said not even convincing myself. And James' drunken laugh didn't help the situation.
"is he drunk?" Harry asked with a worried expression. I nodded. "James I think it's better if you leave" he said trying to convince James to leave without using force but James just laughed straight in his face.
"how about no?" he said with a smirk. I could already see Harry trying to keep his fists down. But as soon as James stepped closer to me Harry seemed to lose it.
"I said leave!" James just smirked again and stepped closer "get away from her!'' another step "that's it!" Harry raised his voice and attacked James connecting his fist with James' jaw causing him to fall to the ground. I hid under the covers, I don't really know why... I know that Harry wouldn't hurt me but I was scared that James might try to get up and hurt me. I felt a hand lightly touching my arm through the blanket "Nikki come on, I could never hurt you. do you really think I could?" he asked sounding hurt. I slowly peered out from under the blanket
"I don't " I whispered "but I don't want you to see me like this. I look awful" I said trying to keep my tears from falling.
"you're absolutely beautiful don't ever say you're not" he said sternly
"Harry I look like a fricking zombie! " I said humourlessly. Harry doesn't listen and pulls the blanket off me.
"just like I said; you look beautiful" he said with a grin "we haven't cuddled in ages" he smirked getting closer until I giggled nervously "aww don't be shy. is it ok if I lie by you?" he asked.
damn did he really just ask that? "sure" I replied with a smile. We cuddled until I fell asleep and damn I've definitely missed him.
