Chapter 25

Manik reached the Moorthy Mansion at around 5 after talking to him dad & entered to see Nandini sitting in the living room itself. As she saw him, she said,

Nandini: Monster Manik... Where were u?? U knw I was waiting for u from so long...

Manik smiled at her & walked closer

Manik: Why missing me??

Nandini: No!!

Nandini said harshly,

Nandini: I need to go up to my room... Take me na!!

Saying this he stretched both her hands towards him like a baby, asking him to picke her up. Manik smiled at het tantrums & slowly picked her up. He took her to her room & after making her comfortable he said,

Manik: Sorry..

Nandini: I don't wanna talk to u...

He sat by her side & rested his head on her shoulder & said,

Manik: Sorry na, u knw I can't see u in pain, thats why I did react that way.

Nandini didn't respond to him. Manik waited for a moment & then slowly moved his head more closer to her. He slowly started nuzzling his nose at the back of her neck & held her hand. Nandini was falling weak due to his closeness, and pushed him back saying,

Nandini: Manik u r very bad... How can u react like this, in front of ur Dad... It was so awkward, I don't know what all he must be thinking.

Manik cupped her face in his hands & said,

Manik: Dad won't be thinking anything bcoz he already knows about us.

Nandini: What??

Manik: Yes... He always knew it. After all he is my dad!! So don't worry..

Nandini smiled at him & then lied down resting her head on his lap. Manik smiled at her childishness & then both of them talked & enjoyed their time. Manik was taking good care of her. It was around 7 when Nandini's phone rang.

"Hello Ma'am.. Cabir sir is here, he is coming upstairs..." said the servant.

Nandini immediately straightened up & sat a lil away from Manik. Manik asked her what happened to which she just said, "CABIR!!" And just then the door flung open & Cabir entered saying in a cheerful voice, "Hey Nandu.. Whats up??

And then he noticed Manik sitting there & Nandini's left knee covered with the bandage.

Cabir: Manik... U here?? And Nandini whats this, what happened??

Cabir sat on the other side in tension. Manik told him whatever happened & after listening to it, Cabir simply hugged Nandini.

Nandini: Cabir, Relax I m f9 & morover I knew Manik will never let me fall.

Nandini looked at manik & both of the smiled at each other. And this was an actual shock for Cabir, he always knew Manik's feelings but this was the first time ever nandini wsa displaying her inner feelings. Just then Nandini turned back towards him & said,

Nandini: And u knw Manik has been baby sitting me here since then.

Saying this she held manik's hand giving another shock to Cabir. Cabir smiled at it & said,

Cabir: Its good na that someone was there with u... But why didn't u call me??

Nandini: Cabir chill... Manik was there for me!!
