None of them had any idea what just happened. After such an amazing proposal by Manik, did they actually heard Nandini say a NO.
Tears were continuously flowing down Nandini's eyes. She kept on looking at Manik's face trying to judge his reaction but he maintained a stolid expression, giving nothing away.
All the others were shocked but Nandini was too busy to care about anyone else over her man. He got up from his knees trying not to look at her in her eyes & turned away, but before he could move any further Nandini held his hand,
Nandini: Manik....
Manik: Come on guys... The party is over!! Its late, i think we should sleep now...
Nandini: Manik... Say something....Listen to me plz!!
Manik turned back towards her & kept his hand over hers, and said softly,
Manik: Nandini.... I just asked u something & u gave me ur answer. I don't think there is anything else that needs my ears. Its late u must sleep.
Saying so he freed his hand from her grip & turned away.
Nandini: Manik!! Manik plz listen... Manik...
Manik simply kept on walking and was about to step down the terrace when he heard his guitar play....

Manik closed his eyes for a minute and Nandini could see him struggling from his own mind. She kept her hand on his cheek and Manik opened his hand,
Manik: I m not getting u at all Nandini... U play ur very efficient multiple personality in bisuness & I always admired it but today I m confused... Which Nandini should I believe?? One moment u say no & the very next minute u say that u love me, what do u want exactly?
Nandini: I m really sorry Manik.. I m very very sorry!! I want to explain myself once... Plz gimme a chance.
Manik simply looked at her but didn't say anything...

Manik simply nodded his head and all of them moved to the chairs. They all sat together & Nandini took a seat next to Manik.
Nandini: Manik... I love u!! I really do... And I can't tell u what effect ur words had on me just a few minutes back. I felt like the most luckiest girl alive today. No one could hv loved me more than u do and ur love is clearly visible in ur eyes... But-
Nandini rmoved her tears from her eyes & then continued again.
Nandini: I m not the one who deserves this love of urs Manik... U deserve someone much much better than me.
Manik: And what if I say that I want u!! U hv an old habbit of under-estimating urself. Why do u think so negatively about urself.
Nandini: Manik... U remember that there was something that I was trying to tell u from the day u hv returned from Dubai, but someway or the other I wasn't able to.
Manik: Yes!!
Nandini: I think its time that u should know... U remember Varun... The guy who was there at my place that day when u returned from Mumbai...
Manik: That employee of urs??
Nandini: yes...The same!! He is going to be the CEO of the Kamal Group of Industries in a few months.
Manik: What do u mean.??
Aliya: Nandini... U r selling ur company!!
Mukti heard Aliya & hit her slowly,
Mukti: Alliya... CEO is not the owner of the company... CEO is the head, the owner can be different.
Manik: But Nandini, Why?? U r managing everything quite well! Why do u need a CEO?? And that too some random guy who joined u just a few days back.
Nandini: Manik Varun is not just some random guy. He is the topper of India's best MBA college, I don't think anyone could be more elligible than him. Plus, he is Kapoor Uncle's Son. And I don't think I can trust anyone with my Appa's company than I can trust him.
Cabir: But Nandu why the CEO??
Nandini: Actually... There is something important that I need u all to know. Recently we opened the hospital & now I think everything that Appa had imagined and wished for this company is finally fulfilled. U remember guys.... U all only asked me once, what exactly I wanted in my life & where will music stand in my life. I hv finally got an answer ready for u all. I hv decided to quit business & give my time to Music. I don't know if I wanna take it up seriously or not but all I know now is that I need time for it.
Mukti: Wow Nandini... Thats superb!! Amazing..
Nandini: BUT!!
Manik: But what??
Nandini: This can happen only after two years.
Manik: Two Years??
Nandini: I m moving to Dubai for two years...
Manik: WHAT!!!
Cabir: WHY??
Nandini: That all I will explain later but Manik...
Nandini held his hands and turned directly towards him.
Nandini: Manik this was the only reason bcoz of which I said no. I don't know what just came over me, I think it was the sudden surprise proporsal from u. I had no idea anything like this was coming and plus I was trying to tell this to u from so long and I wasn't able to. I just-
Manik kept his finger on her mouth & stopped her.
Manik: So much for just one simple reason.... U really do speak a lot.
All the others smiled at it while nandini shed down a new stream of tears. Manik simply removed her tears and then asked,
Manik: Achcha ohk now tell us what are u going to do in Dubai.
Nandini: The last time when I went to London for that meeting. The company has agreed to start a deal with our company but that is gonna be in Dubai. I thought about it a lot & then decided to take the third branch of Kamal Group Of Industries to Dubai.
Abhi: But Nandini, I thought u just said that u wanna quit business. Then setting up a new branch and it will take at least 5-6 years for it to settle out completely.
Nandini: No abhi... I don't think it will take that long. Plus, that is not gonna be mine for long.
Cabir: As in??
Nandini: Guys... Apart from fulfilling my appa'a dreams, I hv another goal in my life and that is to do something for the people to whom I owe my life, i.e., Chacha-Chachi & Kapoor uncle. These people don't say anything but they hv worked really hard to bring me up. And now its my time for pay back. For Kapoor uncle, I think Varun being the CEO is totally justified solution. And Chacha-Chachi, as I know are not gonna accept anything from me. But for that I hv a solution. My cousin rishab is studing in Dubai, final year in MBA. As soon as he finishes, he can join me over there & within a year once he is totally up for it. I'll leave everything over to him & come back to Mumbai. Chacha-Chachi & Amms would join him there in Dubai & be happy. And I'll be here in Mumbai, living my llife out of business. Just two weeks in Chicago, and two weeks in Dubai, every year will make it up I think. I owe that much to all of them.
As she finished Cabir got up from his seat & hugged her tight.
Cabir: I m really proud of u Nandu!!
Nandini hugged him back even tighter when she heard Manik's voice.
Manik: Nandini....
Cabir too heard him & broke the hug. When Nandini saw Manik sitting in front of her chair.
Manik: Nandini.... Would u like to gimme a punishment for life, by spending the rest of ur life minus two years eating up my head.
Saying so he again took out the ring from his pocket while all the others laughed.
Tears made their way in Nandini's eyes again as she nodded her head in a yes & Manik slid the ring on her finger. He stood up from his knees & Nandini stood in front of him, as he hugged her tight in his arms.
Nandini: I m sorry Manik.... Thank u very much for understanding!!! I love u....
Manik: I love u too Nandini....
Mukti: Awww.... My bhai is ingaged!! I can't believe it... She hugged Manik from the back as all the others also joined the hug.
Aliya: Congratulations Guys!!!
