Prologue

It was Greyson's birthday. His family members had planned a surprise party for him so when Melissa was informed about the news she was excited to be a part of the plan. Everything was ready from the decorations to food and beverages. Since Melissa was 9 months pregnant, she didn't do much. Her water could break anytime so she just sat there watching them with a smile on her face.

His birthday fell on Sunday but Greyson still needed to go to work because his father purposely gave him a task for the sake of the plan to succeed (of course Greyson had no idea about this). It was hard for Greyson to leave Melissa at time like that but Melissa still didn't show any signs of giving birth so he told her to immediately contact anyone if anything happened.

Once he unlocked the door, Greyson was weird to see the lights off. Everything was black. He felt uneasy about it and bad thoughts started to run in his head.

   "Melissa?" He called but was greeted by silence. Greyson searched for the switches on the wall and turned them on. And when he turned around...

   "SURPRISE!"

   "Woah!" He slightly jumped backward because he was shocked but stopped when he saw familiar faces. His parents, Alexa and Tanner with their little families. Also, Melissa who was wearing that dress he bought for her months ago.

   "Happy birthday, my boy." Lisa was the first to hug and kiss Greyson lovingly. "Thank you, mom."

   "Happy birthday, son." It was Scott's turn to hug his tall son and continued, "Sorry to have you working on your birthday."

"Thanks, dad. So it was planned, wasn't it? I knew it." Everyone laughed. Then Tanner's voice was heard. "Happy birthday ya shithead."

   "Tanner!" Lisa warned. Emily pinched her husband's arm causing him to let out a small yelp. "Opss, sorry." He muttered.

   Sophia looked up at her daddy and asked, "Daddy, what is shithead?"

   Emily gave Tanner a cold stare and Tanner scratched his head while smiling awkwardly at his wife.

   "Sophia, go wish Uncle Greyson, honey." Emily changed the topic. Sophia nodded and ran to Greyson to wish him a happy birthday.

   "Thanks, sweetheart." Greyson lifted Sophia into his arms. "Ah, you're heavy. Uncle can't carry you anymore."

   "I'm not heavy. Auntie Mel is heavy because there is a baby in her belly." Sophia fluently spoke. Greyson turned to look at Melissa. She was smiling and she looked so tempting that Greyson wanted to have her for the whole night.

The party went on with everyone chatting and updating to each other about life. Greyson glanced at Melissa who was sitting on the couch, holding Alexa's baby. The baby laughed when Melissa entertained him. Greyson smiled at the sight, enjoying it. He couldn't wait until their baby comes out. Greyson was gonna be a father soon and he was very excited.

   "It seems like he likes you a lot." Greyson said when he sat down on the couch next to Melissa. "Yeah, look. He keeps laughing. So cute!"

   They laughed along with the baby and without their concern Tanner was capturing the moment with his iPhone camera from in front of them. When Greyson and Melissa looked at him he said, "Candid."

   Tanner took the baby from Melissa and when he tried to entertain him, the baby started to make a face. Then he burst out crying. Melissa and Greyson were laughing at Tanner.

   "Alexa! Your kid is weeping!" Tanner shouted. The baby cried louder.

   "Don't yell you dummy. Your voice startled him." Greyson spoke.
