It had been a week since Melissa told Greyson what happened. Greyson still couldn't accept the fact that somebody just simply did that horrible thing to his wife when he was gone. He couldn't forgive himself for not staying with her.

Melissa just let bygones be bygones as time passed by. It was hard to forget but there was no point. Thing had already happened. Nothing really changed ever since but it was different thing with Greyson. He slept late like very very late every day and barely got time to spend with Melissa. If only he had free time he would make it for Leila.

Melissa didn't notice that at first because she thought Greyson was just busy as usual. But sooner she realized that Greyson seemed like avoiding her. She wanted to ask but she was afraid of what his answer would be. What if he doesn't love her anymore? What if he felt disgusted with her after knowing what happened?

One day, Melissa tried to talk to him. Greyson was in his studio and when Melissa entered the room he was playing the piano, matching the keys to the song he wrote. He only realized Melissa's presence in the room when he felt someone hugged him from behind. Melissa rested her chin on his shoulder.

"Hi!" She greeted.

"Mel, I'm busy."

Melissa pouted. "You're always busy."

"Yeah, as you can see. Can you leave me alone for a while?"

That made Melissa's heart ache. Greyson never rejected her even when he was busy he would still make time for her. This time was different. He clearly was avoiding her.

Melissa stood up releasing Greyson's body. She stared at his back and finally asked, "Why are you like this?"

"Like what?" He answered nonchalantly.

"You're avoiding me."

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are!" Melissa raised her voice.

Greyson closed his eyes and continued playing the piano.

"Don't ignore me." Melissa said, holding her tears in but Greyson kept on pressing the keys, not bothering her.

Melissa ran out of the room and went into the bedroom, throwing herself on the bed. She was sobbing. Greyson had changed. He never treated her like that. Greyson didn't love her anymore.

When Leila heard Melissa, she cried for her mommy. Melissa sat up and wiped her tears. She glanced over the crib, slowly getting up and walked towards it. When she looked into the crib, Leila was placing her hands up, signalling that she wanted Melissa to pick her up.

Melissa smiled at the sight. "What if mommy doesn't want to pick you up?" Melissa pretended to walk away and Leila started to cry. She chuckled at her baby, the only one that was giving her strength now. Melissa picked Leila up from the crib.

Leila placed her hands on Melissa's face, lightly tapping on it. "Hey, why so excited?" Leila chuckled when her mommy caught her fingers in her mouth.

Melissa knew she had to be strong. For herself, for Leila and for their marriage.

   "It's napping time, honey."

When Leila saw her mommy getting ready to feed her, she moved closer. She loved milking time.

An hour later, Greyson groaned loudly when he couldn't seem to concentrate on his work anymore. His mind was a mess. Everything he did just won't feel right. He needed to check on Melissa.

When Greyson entered the bedroom, he saw both Melissa and Leila were sleeping on the bed. His lips curved into a smile as he walked closer to the bed. Melissa's hand was on Leila's bum, probably she was patting her to sleep before she blacked out as well.
