A/N: when you're all ready and about to leave the house for morning classes and suddenly all the classes are cancelled. Kill me now 🙂🔫 Here's another update because I'm annoyedddddd! *go back to sleep* - - Greyson applied for a leave for one week without telling the actual reason behind it. He just told his father that he needed some rest as he got stressed out from work and his father just approved.
Melissa on the other hand was loyally waiting for Greyson to come home. He only left two days but Melissa felt like it was already two months. She would do anything to have Greyson back and it included everything that Greyson wanted it to be. Melissa didn't care anymore.
Greyson unlocked the front door, quietly pushing himself in. He walked to the living room scanning the house to see it was empty. She must be sleeping already, he thought. It was 2am in the morning by the way. He walked to the bedroom that had the door wide opened and glanced at the bed.
There was Melissa laying on her side, curling up into a ball and holding tightly onto the blanket like she was scared or something. Her body was trembling and Greyson wondered if she was actually sleeping. He walked closer to the bed and saw that she had her eyes closed. She was sleeping but it wasn't a good one, he could tell. Greyson noticed the stain of dried tears on her face. It looked like she had cried herself to sleep.
Greyson really wanted to climb the bed and pull that trembling figure in his embrace but he couldn't. His ego won over him and he let it controls his emotion. So, he just stood there at the bedside, slowly tracing her face with his fingers and tucked her hair behind her ear. He missed her.

Few days went by with Greyson ignoring Melissa every time they bumped into each other in the house. Melissa cooked for him but he didn't even touch the food. Melissa waited for him on the bed but he never came. Melissa was tired but she didn't want to lose him. She was worried when every time Greyson was home late at night, he smelled like cigars and alcohol. Yes, she was awake because she couldn't sleep thinking about him.
There was one night when Greyson got home with a cigarette in between his teeth. Melissa didn't like it when he smoked. It wasn't good for his health and voice.
"Greyson, I don't like it when you smoke. You know it's not good for your health." Melissa said being concerned. Greyson who was throwing his car keys on the table stopped in his track.
Greyson looked through his shoulder and replied, "Why do you care? Even if I die you would never care, wouldn't you?" Then he snatched his car keys back and left the house.
"Greyson...." She called out but he was already gone. The only thing that left was the smoke from his cigarette in the air. There goes another night with tears.
