Greyson had to be in LA for a few days and he promised to Melissa that he would come back real soon. Melissa noted that as she started to get used to it. Besides, she didn't really feel lonely like she used to do anymore because she had Leila with her.It was the second day since Greyson left for LA and Melissa was in the middle of getting Leila ready because they were going to the supermarket when Greyson called. Melissa settled Leila down in the baby stroller before she picked up.
"Hello, honey."
"Hello, Greyson."
"How are you, Mel? What are you doing right now? What's my baby girl is doing?"
"I'm good. We're about to go to the grocery store. Your baby girl is here, in her stroller. Wanna talk to her?" Melissa fixed her baby's snow cap with her free hand.
"Yes, please!"
"Always so excited when it comes to his daughter." Melissa mumbled while smiling. She put the phone on a loudspeaker. "Leila, it's daddy, honey."
Leila was still too small to understand but the moment she heard a familiar voice her moves slowed down.
"Hello, Leila. It's daddy. I miss you, sweetie." Leila's eyes were big, she looked like she was wondering where the voice came from.
"She heard you. It looks like she's searching for the voice. So cute." Melissa chuckled.
"I wish I could see that." Greyson breathed out a sigh. "I will come back soon. I miss you two so much."
"We miss you too, Greyson." Melissa said turning off the loudspeaker.
"Please be careful when you're outside. I'm so worried." That had Melissa laughed.
"I'm not a celebrity like you. Nobody's going to kidnap me." She joked.
"I know but still you are a lady. And beautiful too. I'm afraid any stranger on the street would fall in love with you at first sight."
"You're talking nonsense." Melissa heard chuckling from the other side. "Okay, go back to your work. We have to go now before it's late."
Greyson hummed before he spoke, "Alright honey. Take care, yeah? Anything please call me. I love you."
"Okay. I love you too, Greyson." And then she hang up.
"Honey, now we're going to the grocery store." Melissa talked to her baby with a soft voice. Leila laughed as if she understood what her mommy said.
Melissa checked her appearance one more time before they left the house. She usually just walked to the store because it wasn't that far. Only two blocks away from their building. She wanted to exercise since she was all locked up in the condo.
The weather was gloomy that day and Melissa didn't feel right. She tightened her grip on the stroller to keep Leila safe with her. That baby was playing with her rattle and kept putting it in her mouth.
As they arrived in the grocery store there weren't many people inside and that made Melissa smiled. She didn't like crowded places (except for the show she went to see Greyson, of course).
