"Five minutes has passed by and he is still there." Tyler said to Caleb nonchalantly. He stifled a loud yawn after that.

Caleb who was standing at Greyson's left side shook his head. "Oi! How long are you gonna stand there? Are you trying to be a security guard or what?"

Greyson was still standing like a statue. Five minutes ago he said he needed time to mentally and emotionally steady himself. He breathed in, breathed out and held his unit key up to unlock the door but there he was still doubting whether he should or should not enter his own place. For the time being he was not ready to see Melissa but his two friends were stopping him from running away again and there they were standing at each of his side, waiting for him to unlock the door.

"Bro, seriously. What are you waiting for? We are not leaving until we make sure that you really get in." Caleb said, leaning on the white painted wall.

"I feel worse. I'm ashamed. I think it's not the right time to see her. She might not want to see me too." Greyson confessed while biting his nails.

"Then tell me when is the right time?" Caleb demanded. Tyler stepped forward and moved closer to the door. He raised his hand up and when Greyson saw it he shouted, "Tyler, no!"

Too late, Tyler already pressed the small button. Greyson face palmed and he started to feel nervous again as he backed away from the door.

"Do I have to press it again?" Tyler asked Caleb then he pressed the bell one more time. Then they heard small steps coming from inside.

The door was opened revealing Melissa whose eyes were swollen from crying too much.

"Yes, can I help you?" Her voice cracked. Melissa cleared her throat. She didn't notice Greyson behind as she only examined those two weird people who were standing at her doorstep in the middle of the night.

"Hi, I'm Caleb. This is my friend, Tyler. We are here to," Caleb pulled Greyson to the front, trapping him in between them. "send this guy home."

Melissa's eyes widened once she saw Greyson who looked away from her. "Greyson!" She marched forward and hugged Greyson tight. He smelled like alcohol, smoke and sweat but she didn't care.

Caleb and Tyler were looking at each other with a smile pasted on their faces. Caleb cleared his throat before he spoke, "I think it's better if we leave now."

Melissa pulled away from the hug and said, "Why don't you guys come in first? And have some coffee." Melissa offered even though it was obvious that she looked exhausted. Caleb shook his head.

"Thanks but it's already late now and the timing is not good. Heheh so, I guess...see ya. Bye."

"Thanks Cal, Tyler. I owe you two." Greyson finally spoke before his two friends nodded and left.

Greyson stepped in without uttering a word. Melissa locked the door and followed Greyson who was walking to the bedroom. He threw his body on the mattress, sighing in relief.

"Greyson, are you alright?" He heard Melissa asked. She landed her bum beside him on the bed. "Did-did he..hurt you anywhere?"

"Can we not talk about it?" Greyson closed his eyes remembering the ugly moment. He was still traumatised by the horrific scene.

Melissa examined Greyson's face as he sat up and she wondered if he was still drunk because his face looked like it. "Are you still drunk?"

The moment Greyson turned his head to Melissa, she grabbed his face and kissed his lips passionately. It tasted like alcohol and cigarette. How she missed those lips. Greyson didn't kissed back but he winced in pain once Melissa sucked on his lips and he pulled away, placing his fingers on his mouth.

"Why? Did I hurt-oh my..." Melissa cupped Greyson's face as she took a closer look on his lips. She saw some bruises on his lower lip and it looked like it was bitten brutally because there was clotted blood.

"Did he do this to you?" Melissa caressed Greyson's cheek as her tears were threatening to fall. Greyson looked away. He was too ashamed of the fact that he couldn't do anything to protect himself. He wished Melissa didn't witness it.

   "Greyson..."

"I wish you didn't answer his call." Greyson's eyes were on the floor.

"I didn't recognize the number. I thought it was you."

Melissa bit her lower lip. She wanted to ask something but she was afraid Greyson would be upset about it. So she ended up, "Were you with Caleb and Tyler?"

"They are the ones who saved me from that bastard."

Melissa finally got the answer but she was not satisfied. "Where did you go actually? How come you ended up being in that place with him?"

"Why would you want to know? It doesn't matter anyway."

"It does matter to me because you're my husband. And I know how it feels..to be forced doing it against your will. I don't want you to..go through it."

Greyson snapped his head to Melissa as she looked away. He sighed. "It's a long story. We were just drinking then.. I got drunk. He..he drugged me. Caleb and Tyler came just right in time...before he could do anything." He skipped the gay bar part.

Greyson hanged his head low. "I think I deserve it."

"What? No, you don't. This is all my fault." Melissa turned her head to Greyson and looked at him. "Greyson, I'm so sorry for what I did..I didn't mean to. Would you forgive me?"

Greyson forgot that he was still mad at Melissa about that pregnancy thing. If he just tells her that he forgives her that easy, chances were high that she would do it again.

Greyson got up from the bed but Melissa pulled him down back. "Please! Forgive me! I promise I won't do it again!" Melissa tugged on his hand while closing her eyes tight.

"Let go." Was all he said.

   "Greyson-"

"Didn't you hear me? I said let go."

Greyson sent Melissa a cold stare and it made her slowly releasing her grip on his hand. "I've missed you..." She whispered as Greyson walked to the bathroom. When she heard the sound of water running she knew Greyson was taking a shower.

Meanwhile in the bathroom, Greyson wasn't actually taking a shower. He let the water running and stood in front of the mirror, looking at his own reflection. He checked his bruised lip and cursed under his breath. That guy really was a lunatic.

Greyson removed his jacket and other clothes before he stepped in the shower and stood under it for a while, not moving a muscle. He raised his left hand and hold on to the wall, shutting his eyes.

There was a lot of things he wanted to say to her but he just couldn't let them out. His tongue got tied and the words got trapped. Greyson wanted to say that he already forgave her and forgot about everything that happened. He loved her and he just hoped that she would return the feelings to him one day. And he wanted to say that...

"I've missed you too..."
