It had been a week since Greyson posted the message. He didn't knew what was their reaction after they read the letter because after that he didn't go online anymore. It wasn't because he was afraid or anything but he was really busy at the moment. During the day he was at the office and at night he would spend his time in the studio. He really had no time for social media. It was Friday night and Greyson was at his usual spot. Melissa peeked at the door and saw Greyson who was wearing a serious expression on his face wrote something on a paper. He worked too hard and that was all for his fans. Melissa quietly entered the room.
"Hi."
Greyson didn't seem to hear her so she cleared her throat as loud as she could. Then only Greyson turned his head to her. "Hey! When did you get in?" He was still writing though.
"I greeted you but you didn't hear me. Hmph!" Melissa turned her head from Greyson and crossed her arms to her chest.
"You did? Sorry, I was probably too focused on this." Greyson smiled. He stopped writing and placed his pen down. Then he glanced down at his watch. "Why are you still awake, by the way?"
That question made Melissa looked at Greyson. "I should be the one who asked that, you know. You're the one who have to wake up early for work."
Greyson let out a small laugh. "I know but I don't feel sleepy yet so I decided to write. You should go to sleep now."
Melissa frowned. "I don't want to."
"It's not good for a woman to sleep late, you know." Greyson stated.
"I don't care."
Greyson raised an eyebrow. "Are you okay? You're acting weird."
Melissa was not okay. Greyson had been busy for the past few weeks and got even busier this week after he spilled out the truth to his fans. He rarely had time for her and that made Melissa felt lonely. She even asked herself if it was okay to envy the fans, since Greyson was spending most of his time creating everything for them.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Greyson asked when he saw Melissa was spacing out.
"Nothing." Melissa got up from the couch and walked towards the door. She stopped in her track and said, "Don't sleep too late. Goodnight." Then she went to the bedroom.
All Melissa ever wanted was his attention. She craved it so bad but Greyson was too busy to realize it. Melissa knew she had to understand that Greyson did this for his work, and she supported him. Guess she would have to accept the fact that this was how life is going to be when you're married to a singer-songwriter. She really needed to get used to it by now.
"Mel? Are you already asleep?"
When Melissa heard the voice she quickly closed her eyes, pretending she was asleep. Greyson walked closer to the bed and checked on her.
"She's asleep." Greyson said to himself. He climbed the bed and laid down before rolling on his side.
"I'm sorry." He suddenly said while caressing Melissa's hair like he normally did when she was sleeping. "Did I do something wrong? I know I did."
Melissa had to fight the urge to open her eyes and answered that question. She started to feel bad when she heard a sigh escaped from Greyson's lips.
"Goodnight." Melissa heard he said before he laid down on his back. She didn't want him to go to sleep feeling sad.
"You didn't do anything wrong."
