"No way, she's innocent. Take me, leave her."
"We need at least one of you, if you insist in leaving we might as well. You at least have a job."
"Jerk much?" I ask. Is it that bad I don't want to get a job right away?
"Just let her go, I'll stay!"
"How perfectly cliché, nice try. I'll take the both of you." He walks out of the room, leaving us behind. I turn to Parker.
"Why did you do that? You were almost free!"
"I know but- I" he sighs," I can't let them take one of my friends away for something I did. This way, at least you won't be alone. Traveling through time is hard, not to mention dangerous."
"I guess, but now what? Are they going to train us? Keep us in here? And-" my stomach growls," are we going to eat breakfast soon?"
"We're kidnapped, going to travel through time, and goodness knows what happened to the people that were watching the movie last night. All you can think about is food?"
"Parker, you really don't know me very well," I tell him,"of course I'm thinking about food."
