The battlefield was littered with fallen Decepticon soldiers. Knockout was looking around the field of offlined bodies, but his main focus was trying to find a certain y/a/c mech/femme. He looked everywhere, until finally he spotted who he was looking for but when he got closer to them his spark broke.
You were who he was searching for.
You are his lover.
But now you laid on your back, optics flickering on and off as you struggled to stay on online. Several holes and wounds littered your frame.
Energon ran down your frame, staining your armor and the ground with its blue color.
"H-Hey there K.O." You stuttered out, your voice glitching a bit as you looked up at your lover.
"No. Y/n, you promised that you wouldn't get shot! You promised...That you wouldn't get offlined in battle." Knockout got down on his knee, carefully picking up your head and upper back and laying you on his lap. Coolant tears welled up in his eyes as he looked down at your dying frame.
A small pained smile formed on your lips.
"Guess t-that I broke a promise. S-sorry Knocky. Guess that I should've trained more." You coughed out, energon dripping down your chin from your mouth.
"N-No. Y/n, you are strong. I just wished that I didn't let you go."
"Knocky...Promise me something."
"No! I can't promise-"
"Knockout. Please. For me."
Knockout sighed shakily, and nodded holding back a sob that threatened to escape.
"Promise me that you will be strong. Promise me that you won't grieve all the time." You said as your optics started to dim more but lighted back up as you struggled to stay online for just a little longer.
"Y/n, I c-can't promise that."
"Knocky...Please?" You pleaded weakly.
Knockout shakily leaned down and kissed your fore helm, a single tear dripped down onto your cheek plate.
"I...I promise." He muttered.
You smiled, and inhaled your last breath as your optics faded as your spark slowly faded. Your frame went limp in your lover's arms.
"Y/n."
"Y/n?"
Y/n."
Knockout sobbed out, bringing you close to him, as the tears streamed out of his optics.
"I l-love you Y/n."
