Present Day
"Here," Al says, walking into the bedroom holding a steaming mug of Tris's favorite tea. "thought you could use some."
She smiles as she excepts the hot glass, "Thank you."
Kissing her forehead, Al sits beside her on his side of the bed. "If there's something you need, I'd love to be the one to give it to you."
She leans into his side, as his arms wraps around her. "Nothing but you.. and this."
Shutting her eyes, she lets herself let go and fall into a sleep as the man she loves holds her.
Tris had called up Tobias that afternoon, finding the strength to tell him the one worded answer he wanted her to give him... until it was the wrong word.
As much as she loved him, as much as she still has a place in her heart for him... she knows that this is where their love story has to ends.

A Year and a Half Ago
"Tobias." Knocking on the bedroom door, that has been locked shut. Tris thought he had finally woken up, and was getting up. But instead got up to lock the door, and grab something from underneath his bed.
Grabbing the spare key-- that Tobias had no idea she had-- Tris unlocked the door.
Seeing him laying on his stomach, with a bottle of whisky almost empty dangling in his hand off the bed she runs to him.
"Tobias," She exclaims getting on the bed. "where did you get this?"
Her voice shakes, as she watches the results of her boyfriend relapse for the first time.
"Get out." His voice his low, drunk, and all but his.
"Tobias, your sobriety! Why the hell--"
"Get out!" He yells at her, not lifting his head or moving at all.
Tris's eyes fill with tears, "Give it to me."
Reaching over him to grab the bottle she knows he'll finish, his hand flies back hitting her in the face.

Stunned, Tris stands there. Not knowing what to do, her boyfriend who hadn't been out of rehab for more than six months already found himself drinking all over again.
She had never experienced him violent before, or the coldness in his voice. He had scared her, but she was even more scared for him.

"So has he told you were you two are going?" Tris's mother asks, as she sits across from her in the living room.
