“I hate u Cheryl!...My fricken arm is absolutely killing me!” Lily complained as they waited for their suitcases to be taken off the plane, hours later.

“Aww... I’m sorry babe, I didn't actually mean to fall asleep for the whole flight” Cheryl chuckled, rubbing Lily’s shoulder sympathetically. “Where the hell is Gary anyway? He's been in the toilet for ages!” she continued.

“Well he did drink about 2 litres of Starbucks coffee just before he got on the plane, didn't he? ...and you know how he's a wimp about using the toilets on planes.... haha!” Lily answered, very amused. “He's probably had his little legs crossed for the whole flight!” The 2 girls burst into laughter as Gary innocently walked towards them.

“What are you two weirdo's laughing at?” he asked, frowning at them both giggling hysterically.

“Oh nothing Gary, nothing at all...Lily has just been taking the p!ss out of someone” Cheryl answered before the two girls burst into new fits of laughter. Gary simply shook his head and walked towards the convey-a-belt which only had a small number of cases left going around on it.

“I'll fetch the cases should I?... or we could just wait and watch them and hope that our bags will magically just jump off and land right by our feet” he called back to them sarcastically.

“Alright, touchy! ...Sorry, we didn't notice they were there” Cheryl shouted back, walking towards her fed up looking brother.

“The whole point of mam buying you this bright pink case was so that you could spot it easily when it comes off! It’s pretty hard to miss!” Gary smirked as he handed Cheryl her case while she responded with a sarcastic grin and punched her brother in the arm.

“Have some respect for your big sister please or I’ll have to snitch on you to Mam” she joked, smiling at Lily who was losing patience with getting the handle to come up on her own case.

“Yeah right Chez, I don’t know how you coped before I joined the team...and this dummy isn't much better” Gary laughed as he took Lily’s case off her and tugged the handle which came up straight away, much to the annoyance of Lily. “OK, I've just got a text to say our car is here, apparently there’s no paps outside so you should be OK chez! Good job, considering you seem to have a birds nest on your head.” Gary winked at Lily as he tried to wind his sister up.

“Shut up, it’s not that bad, I've been asleep!” she quickly snapped back whilst stroking her hair, making sure it was actually alright.

30 minutes later, they pulled up outside the private villa Cheryl used every time she was in LA. It was close by the recording studio she used and a little way out of the main city so that she could relax a bit while she was out there. It was only 2.30 in the afternoon and the sun was blazing down which led to a very grumpy Cheryl, Gary and Lily, who had to drag their suitcases along a rocky path in the soaring heat, up to the front door.

“OH...MY...GODDDD!!!!” Cheryl panted as Gary finally let them into the villa. “Somebody put the air con on before I melt into a puddle on the floor” she gasped, immediately collapsing onto the cream, L-shaped sofa which curved around the living room. “Lily, I thought you were meant to know everything...how did you not know that LA was the new sun?! ...I wouldn't have worn jeans and a sweater if I’d known I'd be landing in a blazing inferno!” she complained as Lily simply laughed, also collapsing onto the other end of the sofa, kicking her sandals off across the room and accidentally hitting Gary with one.

“Oi!... Do you want this air con on or not?” he laughed, chucking the sandal back at Lily who shielded herself with one of the lime green cushions on the sofa.

“ARGHH, GOD!...This isn't even funny! I've never been so hot in my whole life!” Cheryl moaned, rolling off the sofa onto the cool marble tiles. “Ahh ...that’s better...like a cuddle off a snowman” she sighed, sprawling herself out across the floor.

Lily started giggling uncontrollably at the sight of her, spread eagle on the ground. “You do make me laugh chez...you’re so dramatic sometimes!”

Cheryl responded by raising her middle finger in the direction of Lily, not even picking her head up as she lay with her eyes closed, trying desperately to cool down.
