Although Tre felt extremely tired the next morning as he'd continuously kept waking up at regular intervals during the night, wanting to make sure Cheryl was OK, he was relieved that she seemed to have slept peacefully and not woken up once or shown any sign that she'd had any bad dreams. It was only 7am when Tre woke up for the final time, knowing he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep now that it was light outside and the birds were tweeting noisily outside the bedroom window. He immediately lifted his head off her shoulder where he'd rested it all night, his arms still wrapped around her protectively as he looked at her face while she still slept in her own dreamland. Despite her eyes still looking sore and red and her cheeks were slightly blotchy from being drenched in tears for so long, she still looked so incredibly beautiful to Tre, who lovingly stroked his finger down the side of her face, only lightly as he wanted her to sleep for as long as possible, knowing that she'd completely exhausted herself. He hadn't been able to bare to tell her the news he'd received the day before from his agent after seeing her so upset and hated the fact that at some point soon, he would have to tell her.
He lay for another good hour, simply watching her sleeping whilst gently stroking her hand which she had rested across her stomach and feeling relieved that it now felt warm again after feeling how cold she had gotten last night from being so distressed. As he continued watching her, he suddenly sensed that she might wake up soon. He wanted to make sure he was there when she woke up after promising that he wouldn't leave her, but he also wanted to make sure today would be perfect for her, his heart couldn't bear to see her that upset again. He carefully reached over to the bedside table and grabbed his phone before starting to text Gary, who he knew should be up as he had to go into the office that morning.
<Hi bro, cud u do me a massive favour and put on some bacon and sausages and stuff please? We’ll be down soon...I’ll explain l8a but you’ll b doing me a massive favour >
<Yeah sure, I’ll put it on now 4 u Is chez OK? I thought I heard her crying last night but I cud hear u with her so I thought it best 2 leave u 2 it>
<She was really upset wen she got back, she'd been talking about when she was sick 4 her book n I think it was just 2 much 4 her Hopefully she'll be OK wen she wakes up, I think she got it all out last night, I just want 2 make 2day nice 4 her n try 2 take her mind off it>
<Oh sh!t! OK I’m sure she'll b fine 2day, she’s normally OK once she talks things through n stuff...c u in a bit bro, thanx 4 looking after her>
Tre put his phone back down, noticing Cheryl’s eyelids beginning to flutter slightly and her nose twitch. He smiled softly, bowing his head down to gently kiss her cheek as she began waking up. He lay his head back down against her shoulder, snuggling her into him until he felt her squeeze his hand as he still held hers, telling him she was awake. She slowly turned around slightly, wrapping her arm over Tre’s body as she laid her head to rest on his chest, feeling him affectionately kiss the top of her head. “Morning...” she quietly spoke after a short while, lightly moving her fingers against his bare chest as he comfortingly stroked her arm.
“Morning Bambi...how are you this morning? Feel a bit better about things?” he asked in his sweet American accent, kissing her forehead again.
“Yeah, a lot better thanks...I had a nice sleep...thank you for bringing me up” she replied, closing her eyes again as she held on to him, loving how warm and cosy he was as he snuggled her in.
“No problem Princess...you looked like you slept well...you still seem quiet though, make sure you tell me if you start feeling upset again please...” he asked her with such a caring tone to his voice, making Cheryl smile softly, touched that he had obviously kept checking on her during the night.
