Cheryl had been sat on her bed for about 45 minutes staring desperately at her open wardrobe, just hoping that the perfect outfit would walk out of it by itself. She didn't have a clue where Tre was taking her and therefore had no idea what to wear. The only text she'd got from him since that morning, was him ranting about how the insurance people hadn't given him anything for his car and that how now, she really was the only thing getting him through the day! She whined, throwing herself back onto her bed and lay there with her hands over her face.
*Knock knock*
“Chez, are you ready? Can I come in?” Lily called from the other side of the door.
“Come in!” Cheryl shouted back, still lying flat on the bed.
“Let see then...Cheryl! You’re not even dressed yet! I thought you said he was picking you up at 6? You do realise its 5.30!“ Lily asked in shock, pausing once Cheryl stuck her bottom lip out. “You haven’t changed your mind have you babe?”
“No, I just haven’t got a flipping Scooby doo what to wear!” she complained, making Lily laugh. “Help me!!!” she pouted.
Lily laughed her head off as she walked over to Cheryl’s wardrobe which was at bursting point. “How the hell can you not find anything to wear you doughnut?...you've practically got a whole shopping centre's worth of clothes in this wardrobe!”
“I don’t know what we're doing tonight though!” she moaned, realising the time was getting closer and closer to 6pm.
“I know what you'd like to be doing tonight!” Lily winked, giggling as Cheryl sat on the edge of her bed with her mouth wide open, shocked at what Lily had just said and tossed a cushion at her. “Haha!...I’m only joking! I know you wouldn't sleep with him on your first date...you ain't no shlagggg!” Lily joked, making Cheryl laugh before she turned back to the wardrobe and started searching through the clothes. “OK, what about this...these black leather leggings, and...this navy blue, peplum top? So it’s not too dressy but not too casual, yeah?”
Cheryl stood up, taking the outfit from Lily “What would I do without you eh?!” she smiled, kissing her on the cheek.
“I haven’t got a bloody clue to be honest...it’s a scary thought!” Lily giggled, shaking her head.
“OK, I’ll put these on and then will you come back in and curl my hair for me please while I do my makeup?...he's gonna be here in like 10 minutes...sh!t!!!” Cheryl shouted, realising the time.
10 minutes later and both Cheryl and Lily were sat at the dressing table as Cheryl brushed some bronzer over her cheekbones. “Are you excited?” Lily asked quietly, twirling Cheryl’s hair with her fingers.
“...Yeah” Cheryl blushed, making Lily ‘aww’. “Feeling a bit nervous too though to be honest...I haven’t done the whole dating thing for years!”
Lily smiled, snuggling into her best friend, “You'll be fine babe, just be yourself and he'll absolutely love you!...Plus I bet he's like 10x more scared than you are!” she giggled.
“CHERYL!!! A CAR HAS JUST PULLED UP!!!” Gary yelled from the lounge.
“Oh God, Oh God, Oh God!!!” Cheryl panicked, staring at Lily wide eyed.
“Haha...calm down babe! It’s just Tre remember!” Lily giggled, pulling Cheryl into a big hug.
“Do I look alright?” Cheryl asked, standing in front of Lily after pulling a pair of black ankle heel boots on, making her grow an extra 3-4 inches.
“You look fabulous darling!” Lily replied in a posh accent, making Cheryl smile. She patted her on the bum whilst telling her to go and have a good time, before turning around to clear up all the makeup and hair products that were spread over the dressing table.
